ABSTRAK Beberapa penelitian menyatakan bahwa sosial media memberikan dampak negatif, ternyata sosial media juga bisa digunakan sebagai jembatan untuk memperbaiki masalah masalah sosial yang terjadi. Kraut et al (2002) menyatakan efek positif dari penggunaan internet terhadap kehidupan sosial dan kesejahteraan psikologis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mengkaji pemaknaan follower akun Instagram @gethappy.id saat mengkonsumsi dan berbagi postingan yang disampaikan oleh akun Instagram tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis resepsi terhadap akun instagram @gethappy.id . Melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap tiga informan dengan kriteria, follower akun @gethappy.id perempuan berusia 20-29tahun. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa dukungan sosial melalui akun instagram bukanlah menjadi sumber yang utama bagi informan . Selain itu terkait proses pemaknaan dukungan sosial akun @gethappy.id ditemukan dua pemaknaan dominan dan satu pemaknaan negosiasi. Secara keseluruhan, munculnya konten-konten positif di instagram diharapkan mengurangi dampak negatif dari mengkonsumsi media sosial terutama instagram. ABSTRACT Some research states that social media has a negative impact, but social media can also be used as a bridge to fix social problems. Kraut et al (2002) state the positive effects of internet use on social life and psychological well-being. The purpose of this study is expected to be able to examine the meaning of followers of the Instagram @ gethappy.id account when receiving and sharing posts submitted by the Instagram account. This study uses acceptance analysis of the Instagram account @ gethappy.id. Through in-depth interviews with three informants with criteria, female @ gethappy.id account followers won 20-29 years. The results of this study found facts about social through Instagram accounts to be the main source for informants. In addition, related to the meaning of the social support process of the @ gethappy.id account, two dominant meanings and one negotiation interpretation were found. Overall, improve the positive content on Instagram which is expected to reduce the negative impact of the larger social media instagram needed. |
