| ABSTRAKNymphaea is one prominent member of Nymphaeaceae family. Yet, people seemed to be mistakenlydisambigued the member of Nymphaea genus, into plants from Nelumbonaceae or Menyanthaceae family.Apparently, the oldest fossil record of Nymphaea showed that this group of plants presumed to be existedsince the Late Eocene to Early Oligocene. Some species of Nymphaea has been known by Ancient Egyptianand Mayan Tribe, whether being worshipped or used as ritual materials. Until now, the member ofNymphaea is still used as food or medicinal source by some Countries. |
