ABSTRAKPendahuluan : Medication Errors (ME) merupakan masalah universal yang terjadi di banyak negara dan menjadi salah satu jenis medical errors yang paling umum terjadi. Setiap tahunnya ME dapat menyebabkan kejadian serius termasuk kecacatan hingga kematian. Kesalahan ini berpeluang terjadi pada setiap tahapan pengobatan termasuk tahapan yang paling sensitif yaitu dispensing. Sistem distribusi obat yang tepat dapat menjadi salah satu upaya Rumah Sakit dalam menurunkan kejadian medication errors. Salah satu sistem yang sudah digunakan oleh negara-negara di Amerika Serikat dan Eropa dalam menurunkan kejadian medication errors khususnya tahap dispensing yaitu Automated Dose Dispensing (ADD). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran proses dan dampak implementasi Automated Dose Dispensing di Rumah Sakit. Metode : Literature Review atau studi telaah pustaka yang diambil dari online database yaitu Pubmed dan ScienceDirect dengan kata kunci Automated Dose Dispensing, impact, medication errors, workload, time efficiency, cost , rentang waktu studi yang diambil adalah 10 tahun terakhir (2010-2020). Hasil dan Diskusi : Ditemukan 19 penelitian yang menunjukkan gambaran proses dan dampak dari implementasi Automated Dose Dispensing yang terdiri dari penurunan medication errors, efisiensi waktu perawat, efisiensi biaya, beban kerja perawat yang menurun akibat berkurangannya pekerjaan terkait pengobatan, penurunan penggunaan obat yang tidak tepat, dan kepuasan user.
ABSTRACTBackground: Medication Errors (ME) are universal problem that occurs in many countries and one of the most common types of medical errors. Every year ME can cause serious events including disability to death. This error has the opportunity to occur at every stage of treatment, including the most sensitive stage, namely dispensing. The right drug distribution system can be one of the efforts of the hospital in reducing the incidence of medication errors. One system that has been used by countries in the United States and Europe in reducing the incidence of medication errors especially the dispensing stage is Automated Dose Dispensing (ADD). The purpose of this study is to get an overview of the process and impact of implementing Automated Dose Dispensing in Hospitals. Method: Literature Review or study of literature taken from online databases namely Pubmed and ScienceDirect with the keywords Automated Dose Dispensing, impact, medication errors, workload, time efficiency, cost, the time span of study taken is the last 10 years (2010- 2020). Results and Discussion: 19 studies were found that show a description of the process and impact of the implementation of Automated Dose Dispensing consisting of decreased medication errors, nurse time efficiency, cost efficiency, decreased nurse workload due to reduced work related to medication, decreased use of inappropriate drugs, and user satisfaction. |
