Abstract
Apoteker memegang peranan penting di industri farmasi dan pelayanan kefarmasian. Seorang apoteker harus memenuhi standar kompetensi sebagai persyaratan untuk memasuki dunia kerja. Standar kompetensi apoteker Indonesia terdiri dari sepuluh standar sebagai kemampuan yang diharapkan dimiliki oleh apoteker pada saat dinyatakan lulus pendidikan apoteker dan masuk ke lingkungan kerja yang nyata. Sebagai bekal dan pengalaman calon apoteker untuk dapat memahami peran apoteker dan meningkatkan kompetensi, maka dilaksanakan Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) di PT Guardian Pharmatama dan Apotek Atrika selama periode bulan Februari - Maret dan Mei 2020. Selama PKPA, diharapkan calon apoteker dapat memperluas wawasan, pemahaman, dan pengalaman dalam melakukan pekerjaan kefarmasian di industri farmasi dan apotek.
Pharmacists play a major part in the pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical care. A pharmacist has to fulfill the competency standards as a requirement to work as a professional in the real-world. As a pharmacist in Indonesia, grasping the 10 competency standards is a must once he/she has completed their study and start working in the real-world. To allow prospective pharmacists understand better the work life as a pharmacist and to improve their capabilities, internships in PT Guardian Pharmatama and Apotek Atrika are conducted on February - March 2020 and May 2020 respectively. During the internships, prospective pharmacists are expected to gain better knowledge, understanding, and experience while working in the pharmaceutical industry and pharmacy.
