Pemilihan umum atau pemilu di tahun 2019, khususnya pemilihan presiden oleh nomor urut 1 dan 2 merupakan pesta demokrasi untuk masyarakat Indonesia. Informasi seputar politik tentunya ramai di kehidupan nyata dan di ranah cyberspace. Perkembangan zaman yang maju mendukung segala penyebaran pesan kampanye politik melalui cyberspace dengan media sosial sebagai wadah berbagi informasi. Namun, pesan kampanye politik yang tersebar tidak sedikit mengandung suku, agama, ras (SARA) dan politik identitas yang tujuannya membuat konflik satu sama lain. Informasi seputar kampanye politik di ranah cyberspace yang memuat infromasi berita palsu atau hoaks. Fenomena ini kemudian, menghadirkan upaya-upaya literasi digital oleh lembaga Kepolisian RI dan Kominfo melalui cyberspace. Tulisan ini berfokus pada konten visual yang diunggah pada platform media sosial, situs resmi, dan situs berita oleh kedua instansi tersebut, sebagai upaya literasi digital. Kerangka pemikiran dan analisis pada tulisan ini dilandasi oleh tiga konsep yaitu post truth, pengendalian sosial di ranah cyberspace yang memuat legal measures, informal request, outsourcing, just-in-time blocking, patriotic hacking, targeted surveillance and social – malware attacks, dan kriminologi visual yang memuat visuality dan remaking. Hasilnya, pengendalian sosial di ruang siber pada masa pemilu 2019 oleh Kepolisian RI dan Kominfo dengan visualisasi konten yang diunggah, dapat membantu kedua instansi tersebut dalam memberikan literasi digital terkait konten hoaks ke masyarakat.
The general eletions in 2019, spesifically the presidential election number 1 and 2, is a democratic party for the people of Indonesia. Information about politics is certainly spread in real life and in the realm of cyberspace. The development of the modern era bolsters all the deployment of political campaign messages through cyberspace with social media as a platform for sharing information. Nevertheless, the political campaign messages that were spread contain a lot of ethnicity, religion, race (SARA) and identity politics with the aim of creating conflicts with each other. This phenomenon presents digital literacy efforts by the Indonesian Police and Ministry of Communication and Informatics institutions through cyberspace. This paper focuses on visual content uploaded on social media platforms, official websites and news sites by the two agencies, as a digital literacy effort. The framework and analysis are based on three concepts, namely post truth, social control in the realm of cyberspace which includes legal measures, informal requests, outsourcing, just-in-time blocking, patriotic hacking, targeted surveillance and social - malware attacks, and visual criminology that include visuality and remaking. As a result, social control in cyberspace during the election of 2019 by the Indonesian Police and Ministry of Communication and Informatics institutions with the visualization of uploaded content, it can help the two agencies in providing digital literacy related to hoax content to the society. |
