Angka perceraian di Indonesia cenderung meningkat tiap tahunnya. Salah satu alasan pasangan bercerai adalah perselingkuhan. Terdapat indikasi bahwa seiring perkembangan zaman, individu memiliki sikap yang cenderung permisif terhadap perselingkuhan sehingga menjadi lebih rentan melakukan perselingkuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat pengaruh self-disclosure pada sikap terhadap perselingkuhan yang dimiliki individu dalam perkawinan. Penelitian ini juga melihat peran kepuasan perkawinan yang dimiliki individu dalam memediasi hubungan antara self-disclosure dan sikap terhadap perselingkuhan. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Attitude toward Infidelity Scale (ATIS; Whatley, 2008), Marital Self-disclosure Questionnaire (MSDQ; Waring, et al., 1998), dan Couple Satisfaction index (CSI; Funk & Rogge, 2007). Teknik statistik deskriptif, korelasi, regresi sederhana dan analisis mediasi digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 461 partisipan yang berada dalam perkawinan (361 perempuan, 100 laki-laki). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-disclosure memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan pada sikap terhadap perselingkuhan. Selain itu, dapat diketahui bahwa kepuasan perkawinan berperan memediasi secara penuh hubungan antara self-disclosure dan sikap terhadap perselingkuhan. The divorce rate in Indonesia tends to increase every year. One of the reasons couples divorce is infidelity. There is an indication that individuals tend to have a permissive attitude towards infidelity along with the times so that they become more vulnerable to infidelity. This study aims to examine the effect of self-disclosure on attitudes towards infidelity that individuals have in marriage. This study also looks at the role of marital satisfaction in mediating the relationship between self-disclosure and attitudes towards infidelity. The Attitude toward Infidelity Scale (ATIS; Whatley, 2008), Marital Self-disclosure Questionnaire (MSDQ; Waring, et al., 1998), and Couple Satisfaction index (CSI; Funk & Rogge, 2007) were used in this study. Descriptive, correlation, regression, and mediation analysis techniques were used to to analyze the data. This study was conducted on 461 participants who were in marriage (361 women, 100 men). The results showed that self-disclosure had a significant effect on attitudes towards infidelity. In addition, the result found marital satisfaction fully mediate the relationship between self-disclosure and attitudes towards infidelity. |
