Pemilihan Kota yang Ideal sebagai Lokasi Fasilitas Manufaktur Alat Berat di Amerika Serikat = Selection of Cities as Ideal Locations for Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Facilities in the United States

Pasar dan permintaan alat berat China mengalami peningkatan yang cukup besar di Amerika Utara, yang didukung dengan harga produk yang kompetitif dan kualitas produk yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memilih lokasi fasilitas manufaktur yang ideal dari 10 kota di AS dengan permintaan alat berat tertinggi untuk mengembangkan fasilitas manufaktur yang strategis, efektif, dan lebih kompetitif. Studi kasus diterapkan pada perusahaan multinasional China yang telah memiliki lokasi manufaktur di salah satu negara bagian Midwestern di Amerika Serikat. Perusahaan mendatangkan pasokan material dan suku cadang unit pre-assembly dari Amerika Selatan, selain dari China, yang saat ini dianggap masih cukup jauh. Perusahaan juga telah menetapkan strategi lokalisasi untuk menargetkan pasar baru di beberapa negara bagian dengan permintaan tertinggi dengan biaya rendah, sehingga pengiriman dan penempatan lokasi harus dipertimbangkan. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) dilakukan untuk mendapatkan bobot kriteria penilaian lokasi terbaik. Technique Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) digunakan untuk mendapatkan skor akhir penilaian setiap alternatif lokasi. Penelitian memperoleh enam kriteria dan 29 subkriteria untuk memilih satu keadaan yang sesuai. Metode Zero-One Goal Programming (ZOGP) digunakan untuk menyusun skenario dan model matematis berdasarkan limitasi seperti bobot prioritas TOPSIS, biaya lahan, biaya tenaga kerja, biaya operasional. Alternatif terpilih merupakan kota yang dianggap terbaik sebagai lokasi fasilitas manufaktur. The Chinese heavy equipment market and demand are experiencing a considerable increase in North America. It is supported by competitive product prices and better product quality. This paper aims to provide the best results in selecting the ideal location from among the other 50 states in the USA to develop a strategic, effective, and more competitive manufacturing facility. The case study is applied to a multinational Chinese company that already has a manufacturing site in one of the Midwestern states in the USA. The company also brings in material supplies and pre-assembly unit parts from South America, apart from China. Materials shipping from South America to the existing location are still quite far. The company has also set out localization strategies to target new markets in several states with the highest demand at a low cost, so shipping and location placement must be considered. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is carried out to obtain the best location assessment criteria weights. Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is used to get the final score assessing each alternative location. Research obtains six criteria and 29 sub-criteria for selecting one appropriate state. The study obtained six criteria and 29 sub-criteria to select an appropriate condition. The Zero-One Goal Programming (ZOGP) method is used to develop scenarios and mathematical models based on limitations such as TOPSIS priority weights, land costs, labor costs, and operational costs. The chosen alternative is the city considered the best location for manufacturing facilities. |
