Tulisan akademis ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi efek bumerang terhadap korban kekerasan seksual akibat dari informasi yang disampaikan dalam konten-konten dalam akun-akun penyintas kekerasan seksual kampus dalam echo chambers media sosial. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis konten, bentuk terjadinya potensi efek bumerang yang muncul diidentifikasi melalui representasi foto, comments, dan caption. Hasil analisis memperlihatkan bahwa respons dalam unggahan akun-akun tersebut berpotensi menimbulkan efek bumerang bagi korban akibat informasi yang disampaikan. Potensi lain juga ditemukan karena ketiadaan consent korban terhadap dinaikkannya unggahan dalam akun-akun tersebut. Guna memberikan ruang aman dan perlindungan bagi korban, beberapa strategi dan penguatan dari lingkungan perguruan tinggi sangat diperlukan untuk menghindari terjadinya efek bumerang bagi korban dan produser konten, yaitu akun-akun penyintas kekerasan seksual tersebut. This academic paper aims to analyze the potential impact of sexual violence as a result of content in the accounts of survivors of campus sexual violence in social media echo chambers. By using the content analysis method, the potential form of the boomerang effect that appears is identified through the representation of photos, comments, and descriptions. The results of the analysis show that the responses in the uploads of these accounts may have a boomerang effect on the victims as a result of these errors and the lack of transparency in the delivery of information. Another potential is also found in the lack of notification of the victim's consent to uploads on these accounts. In order to provide a safe space and protection for victims, several strategies and continuing from the university environment are needed for a boomerang effect for victims and content producers, namely the accounts of survivors of sexual violence. |
