Abstract
Karena kereta konvensional bergerak dengan sistem perputaran roda diatas rel., maka tidak dapat dihindari polusi bising yang diakibatkan gesekan antara roda dan rel. Untuk menghindarinya terutama pada kecepatan tinggi, dikembangkan penggerak motor sinkron liner dengan sistem tanpa kontak dengan rel. Pada tesis ini akan dibahas mengenai perancangan, ukuran dan konstruksi Motor Sinkron Linier (MSL) untuk kereta listrik.
Conventional trains moving wheels on rail can not avoid noise pollution caused by friction between wheels and rails. To avoid this, expecially at high speeds, linear synchronous motors with no rails contact have been developped. In this thesis linear synchronous motors, design, dimension and construction for electric trains will be considered.
