Akademi Keperawatan sebagai salah satu lembaga pendidikan keperawatan di lingkungan Departemen Kesehatan memiliki peran strategis dalam mengantarkan peserta didik Akademi Keperawatan menjadi perawat profesional pemula melalui proses belajar mengajar. Keberhasilan belajar peserta didik yang dinyatakan dalam Indeks Prestasi (IP) akan menggambarkan kemampuan profesional mereka dimasa mendatang sebagai perawat. Permasalahan yang terjadi di Akper Depkes Banda Aceh adalah adanya kesenjangan IP diantara peserta didik terutama antara peserta didik kelas khusus dengan peserta didik regular. Adanya kesenjangan IP di antara peserta didik ini mendorong peneliti untuk menganalisis berbagai faktor yang berhubungan dengan kesenjangan prestasi belajar peserta didik Akademi Keperawatan Banda Aceh. Tujuan akhir dari penelitian ini adalah diperolehnya informasi tentang variabel-variabel yang mempengaruhi prestasi belajar peserta didik Akper Depkes Banda Aceh tahun 1999.Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam studi ini adalah Cross Sectional. Populasi dan sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik Tingkat III (semester V dan VI) Akademi Keperawatan Departemen Kesehatan Banda Aceh tahun akademik 1998/1999 yang telah memenuhi syarat untuk mengikuti ujian akhir yang seluruhnya berjumlah 110 peserta didik.Data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang berisi semua variabel dalam penelitian. Pengolahan dan analisa data baik univariat, bivariat maupun multivariat dilakukan secara statistik.Hasil analisis univariat menunjukkan bahwa indeks prestasi peserta didik kelas regular lebih tinggi daripada indeks prestasi kelas khusus. Hasil analisis bivariat dengan menggunakan uji statistik kai kuadrat (x2) menunjukkan bahwa umur, jenis kelamin, umur ijazah, jenis kelas, dan nilai masuk Akper mempunyai hubungan yang bermakna secara statistik terhadap prestasi belajar, sedangkan variabel motivasi belajar tidak menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang bermakna secara statistik dengan prestasi belajar peserta didik. Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukkan bahwa jenis kelamin dan jenis kelas secara bersama-sama mempunyai hubungan yang bermakna secara statistik dengan prestasi belajar peserta didik.Saran yang dapat peneliti berikan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah:1) bagi Akper Depkes Banda Aceh agar lebih memberikan perhatian yang lebih tinggi kepada peserta didik kelas khusus dan peserta didik laki-laki, serta menetapkan batas umur calon peserta didik yang bisa diterima sebagai peserta didik;2) bagi Kanwil Depkes seharusnya menetapkan aturan bahwa yang boleh mendaftar sebagai calon peserta didik adalah staf yang berusia di bawah 35 tahun;3) bagi peneliti lain untuk meneliti lebih lanjut faktor-faktor lain yang berhubungan dengan prestasi belajar peserta didik.
The Factors Related to the Study Achievement Index of Students of Nursing Academy of Department of Health - Banda Aceh, 1999Nursing Academy is one of the education institutes under the Department of Health, having a strategic role to educate students of Nursing Academy to become beginner professional nurses through a studying and teaching process. The success of study is indicated in Study Achievement Index, will picture their capability to become professional nurses in the future. The problem faced by the Nursing Academy - Department of Health, Banda Aceh that there is a gap of Study Achievement Index between the students of regular and special classes. Due to the gap of Study Achievement Index between those students, it encourages the writer to analyze several factors, which related to the gap of study achievement among the Nursing Academy students - Banda Aceh. The final aim of research is to get some information on variables which influence study achievement of students in Nursing Academy - Department of Health, Banda Aceh, 1999.The design of research used in this study is Crass Sectional. Populations and Samples research are the Third Grade Students (semester V and VI) from Nursing Academy, Department of Health - Banda Aceh the year study of 199811999 who have fulfilled the condition to take final examination, totaling 110 students.The quantitative data collected through questionnaires, which consist of all variables in the research. The processed and analyzed data univariat, bivariat as well as multivariat are done statistically.The results of univariat analysis showing that study achievement index of regular class are higher than those from special class. The result of bivariat analysis by using statistical test of (X2) showing that age, sex, year of certificate, class type, and entrance Point of Nursing Academy have significant statistical correlation with achievement of study, meanwhile variable of motivation study do not show statistical correlation with achievement study of students. The result of multivariate showed that sex and type of class have significant statistical correlation with achievement of study of students.Suggestions given based on the result of this research are:1. Nursing Academy, Department of Health - Banda Aceh should pay more attention to students of special class and male students;2. Regional Office of Department of Health should make regulation that for those who can enroll to be students are staff under the age of 35 year old;3. Suggested to other researcher in order to study further other factors that have correlation with achievement study of students. |
