ABSTRAK
PT. X adalah sebuah perusahaan industri manufaktur dengan produk yang dibuat adalah pompa. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah terus naiknya permintaan terhadap produk tersebut tiap tahun dan dikhawatirkan dengan fasilitas produksi yang ada sekarang ini pada suatu saat tidak akan mampu memenuhi permintaan tersebut sehingga dapat menyebabkan hilangnya kesempatan perusahaan untuk meningkat pangsa pasar. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut direncanakan penambahan jumlah fasilitas produksi dengan jumlah yang tepat agar kapasitas produksi sesuai dengan permintaan.Penelitian ini adalah untuk mencari fasilitas produksi yang perlu ditambahkan dan jumlahnya yang sesuai dengan peramalan permintaan untuk periode mendatang. Dalam penelitian ini diukur waktu pelayanan masing-masing komponen pompa tiap proses pengerjaannya dan dilakukan pengujian kecukupan dan keselarasan data pelayanan tersebut. Setelah itu dihitung waktu standar (standard time) tiap proses pengerjaan dan waktu operasi masing-masing fasilitas produksi untuk tiap pompa.Untuk mengetahui kapasitas produksi yang dibutuhkan untuk periode-periode mendatang dilakukan peramalan permintaan. Dari hasil peramalan permintaan ini dihitung jumlah fasilitas produksi yang dibutuhkan. Kemudian dilakukan analisa terhadap utilisasi masing-masing fasilitas produksi untuk mengetahui fasilitas produksi mana yang menjadi bottle neck dalam sistem manufaktur supaya menjadi perhatian dalam operasinya dan direncanakan penambahannya agar tidak terlalu mempengaruhi sistem manufaktur.Selain merencanakan penambahan jumlah fasilitas produksi yang dibutuhkan, juga dihitung kapasitas produksi maksimum tiap periode serta dianalisa kemungkinan memanfaatkan sistem manufaktur yang ada melalui alternatif-alternatif operasi untuk menghasilkan kapasitas produksi yang diinginkan.ABSTRACTPT. The problem faced by the company is that the increasing demand of the product with the existing production facility may not be able to meet the demand. So it will cause the company to loose the opportunity to increase market shear.To overcome the problem the additional amount of the production facility must be well planned to meet the production capacity with demand.This research is meant to find the production facility whose amount should be added in accordance with the demand forecasting for coming periods. In the research the service time of each pump component in the manufacturing process is measured and testing of adequacy and the harmony of the service data. After that the standard time of each manufacturing process and operational time of the production facility for each pump is calculated.To know the production capacity, which is needed for the coming periods, the demand forecasting is performed. From the result of the demand forecasting, the amount of the production facility, which is needed, is calculated. And then the analysis is performed for the utilization of each production facility to find which production facility can be the bottle neck is the manufacturing system, in order to be the attention the operation and the addition is planned not to influence the manufacturing system.Besides planning the additional amount of production facility which is needed, the maximum production capacity of each period is also calculated and the possible benefit of the existing manufacturing system through operation alternatives is analyzed to produce the desired production capacity. |
