Pengajaran sastra pada pendidikan menengah di Indonesia: quo vadis?

 Abstrak

There have been some problems faced by teachers of literature in secondary schools in Indonesia. Among others are, the teaching of literature is subordinated under Indonesian language teaching second, teachers are still seeking for workable methods of teaching literature in order to raise interest in literature. And ,finally, the objective of the teaching of literature overlap with the teaching of moral values,while the proportion of time allocated to textual exploration and appriciation is limited. The paper attempt to look into the problems and propose some ways of responding to them with an expectation that an avenue for generating new alternatives and possibilities can be opened up.
