Abstract
Problems in operating construction equipment were perceived as resulting in low productivity. Productivity was considered in this study as a measurement dimensions that sufficiently describes cost projects performance. The objective of this study is to identify dominant variables in equipment management that influence cost project performance.
The study was conducted using questionnaire survey and case study. Analysis done on the data from questionnaire survey resulted on two dominant variables that influence performance cost project. They are maintenance and reparation by skill mechanics, and training for operational equipment supervisor. Equipment productivity observed in the case study is below the standard stated on the equipment manual. This condition causes project got delay and contractor did not get profit.
