| The growing of mass media recently is not balanced with the quality of the news they make. Much of the news is very bombastic, vulgar, and sometime full of sensation. At the same time, mass aggressive behavior increase everywhere. Based on that fenomena, the writer is interested to do research on the ?Impact of mass media violence news to mass aggressive behavior".Explaining the research fenomena, the writer uses the anomie theory by Emile Durkheim, the social learning theory by EH. Sutherland, and the crime of imitation model theory. The writer also uses thc sub culture of violence theory to explain the growing of aggressive behavior is part of sub culture of violence.This research uses qualitative method to gape many factors which cause mass aggressive behavior at Kelurahan Palmeriam, Matraman, East Jakarta. Collecting the primary data is done by indepth interview with '20 inforrnan that was chosen intentionally.This research proves that violence news influences mass aggressive behavior. The impact ol` mass media consisl'ol` at least two factors. Firstly, shaping attitude and opinion about violence behavior. Secondly, giving information about weapon models to do violence. Mass aggressive behavior is also influenced by environment, peer group, and family.Therefore, mass media should present news violence with conflict resolution angle. Environment planning. Family role, choosing liicnds are thc other factors that should be taken care to decrease mass aggressive behavior. |
