Abstract
Tulisan ini mengkaji konstruksi diskriminasi dalam bentuk othereness antara pembuat aplikasi dengan penyandang disabilitas tunanetra. Selain itu tulisan ini membahas bagaimana tunanetra menghadapi minimnya digital accessibility di Indonesia. Penelitian etnografi ini berusaha untuk melihat bagaimana pembuat aplikasi dengan kepentingannya, meninggalkan digital accessibility dalam product development yang mereka lakukan dan bagaimana tunanetra berimprovisasi dan menkreasikan adaptasi mereka sebisa mungkin untuk tetap menggunakan produk digital yang mereka butuhkan. Tunanetra menkreasikan microactivist affordances dengan infrastruktur material yang ada, sementara jika gagal, orang lain akan datang membantu dengan menkreasikan people as affordances.
......This Paper?studies the construction of discrimination in the form of otherness between application developers and people with visual impairments. In addition, this article discusses how visually impaired people face the lack of digital accessibility in Indonesia. This ethnographic research seeks to see how application developers with their interests leaves digital accessibility in their product development and how visually impaired people improvise and create adaptations to be able to keep using the digital products they need. Visually impaired people creates microactivist affordances with the available material infrastructure, while if they fail, other people will come to help by creating people as affordances.
