Latar Belakang : Special Care Dentistry merupakan salah satu cabang spesialisasiKedokteran Gigi yang berfokus dalam memberikan perawatan kepada individu dengandisabilitas dan membutuhkan perawatan serta penanganan khusus. Guna memberikanperawatan yang maksimal, sikap dan persepsi dari operator selaku pemberi pelayananmerupakan salah satu faktor krusial. Oleh sebab itu, studi mengenai sikap dan persepsimahasiswa Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Can Tho, dan UniversitasKhon Kaen perlu dilakukan. Tujuan : Mengetahui sikap dan persepsi mahasiswaFakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Can Tho, dan UniversitasKhon Kaen terhadap Special Care Dentistry. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan selfadminiseredquestionnaire dengan memanfaatkan google form di 2021 kemudian diolahmenggunakan perangkat lunak statistik SPSS pada tahun 2022 dengan menggunakan ujimann whitney, kruskal wallis, dan chi-square. Hasil Penelitian : Didapatkan totalresponden mahasiswa sebanyak 471 dari Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Can Tho, danUniversitas Khon Kaen angkatan 2016-2018 dengan response rate 70%. Sebanyak 71,5%responden dapat mendefinisikan Special Care Dentistry dengan 66,9% merasamembutuhkan pembelajaran didaktik maupun 94,3% responden merasa dibutuhkannyapelatihan klinis mengenai Special Care Dentistry guna menunjang pelayanan.Kesimpulan : Mahasiswa Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Can Tho,dan Universitas Khon Kaen memiliki sikap dan persepsi yang baik terhadap individupasien dengan disabilitas. Methods: This study used a selfadministeredquestionnaire by utilizing the Google form in 2021 and then processed usingthe SPSS statistical software in 2022 using the Mann Whitney, Kruskal Wallis, and Chisquaretests.
