Pada September 2019, setelah melalui masa pemilihan umum dan menuju pergantian anggota DPR yang baru, terdapat aksi politik anak muda yang dikenal dengan sebutan #ReformasiDikorupsi. Penelitian ini meneliti pengguna-pengguna Twitter Indonesia dalam partisipasi mereka terhadap kasus #ReformasiDikorupsi. Terdapat empat variabel dalam penelitian ini: (1) Partisipasi politik digital, (2) Social Technographic Profile, (3) Generasi, (4) dan Tingkat Pendidikan. Untuk variabel partisipasi politik digital, peneliti menggabungkan lima konsep partisipasi politik digital oleh Segesten dan Bosetta (2017), Bakker dan Vreese (2011), dan dua penelitian terpisah yang dilakukan oleh Pew Research (2018). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan sampel convenience karena tidak adanya data lengkap seluruh pengguna Twitter di Indonesia. Jumlah sampel yang terkumpul sebanyak 1.098 responden. Setelah hasil survei terkumpul, peneliti melakukan uji Chi-Square dan Crosstab. Hasil uji Chi-Square menunjukkan terdapat Hubungan antara (1) Variabel Social Technographic Profil dengan Kategori Promosi, (2) Variabel Social Technographic Profil dengan Kategori Instruksi, (3) dan Variabel Generasi dengan Kategori Promosi. Hasil analisis Crosstab menunjukkan semakin tinggi kategori Social Technographic Profile seseorang, maka semakin besar kemungkinan ia melakukan 4 dari 5 indikator Partisipasi Politik Digital. Kemudian, semakin tinggi/tua kategori Generasi seseorang, maka semakin besar kemungkinan ia melakukan 2 dari 5 indikator Partisipasi Politik Digital, yakni kategori Promosi dan kategori Instruksi. Dan terakhir, semakin tinggi kategori Tingkat Pendidikan seseorang, maka semakin besar kemungkinan ia melakukan indikator kategori Promosi.
In September 2019, after going through the general election period and heading for the replacement of new members of the DPR, there was a youth political action known as #ReformasiDikorupsi. This study examines Indonesian Twitter users in their participation in the #ReformasiDikorupsi case. There are four variables in this study: (1) Digital political participation, (2) Social Technographic Profile, (3) Generation, (4) and Education Level. For the digital political participation variable, researchers combined five concepts of digital political participation by Segesten and Bosetta (2017), Bakker and Vreese (2011), and two separate studies conducted by Pew Research (2018). This study used a survey method with a convenience sample because there was no complete data on all Twitter users in Indonesia. The number of samples collected was 1,098 respondents. After the survey were collected, the researchers conducted a Chi-Square and Crosstab test. Chi-Square test results show that there is a relationship between (1) Social Technographic Profile Variable with Promotion Category, (2) Social Technographic Profile Variable with Instruction Category, (3) and Generation Variable with Promotion Category. The results of the Crosstab analysis show that the higher a person's Social Technographic Profile category, the more likely s/he is to do 4 out of 5 indicators of Digital Political Participation. Then, the higher / older a person's Generation category is, the more likely s/he is to do 2 out of 5 Digital Political Participation indicators, namely the Promotion category and the Instruction category. And finally, the higher a person's Education Level category, the more likely s/he will do the Promotion category indicator. |
