Limbah zat warna dari industri tekstil dan garmen merupakan salah satu penyumbang kerusakan lingkungan perairan. Saat ini, metode fotokatalitik telah banyak diteliti untuk mendegradasi polutan zat warna. Penelitian ini telah berhasil mensintesa CuBi2O4 dan nanopartikel ZnO, serta CuBi2O4/ZnO. Komposit CuBi2O4/ZnO yang dihasilkan dari beberapa CuBi2O4: ZnO, 1:1 ; 2:1 dan 1:2 mempunyai energi celah pita sebesar 1,8 eV dan 3,02 eV ; 1,76 eV dan 2,97 eV ; 1,82 eV dan 3,10 eV masing-masing. Semua fotokatalis telah dikarakterisasi dengan FTIR, XRD, UV-DRS dan TEM, serta telah diaplikasikan pada degradasi zat warna metilen biru. Fotokatalis CuBi2O4/ZnO (1:2) menghasilkan degradasi metilen biru yang terbesar, 78,88% dibandingkan dengan lainnya Dye waste from the textile and garment industry is one of the contributors to damage to the aquatic environment. The CuBi2O4/ZnO nanocomposite with a ratio of 1:2 resulted in the greatest degradation of methylene blue, 78.88% compared to other nanocomposites. |
