Sebagai ibukota negara, Jakarta merupakan kota dengan penduduk yang memiliki beragam latar belakang. Sebagai kota modern, kota Jakarta memiliki sebuah tempat yang merupakan cerminan dari masyarakatnya, terbentuk melalui internet menjadi dunia digital kota Jakarta. Sebagai digital natives, generasi Z kota Jakarta merupakan kelompok masyarakat yang paling familier dengan ruang virtual kota Jakarta. Generasi Z kota Jakarta memiliki peran penting dalam proses terbentuknya fenomena budaya populer. Makalah ini akan membahas mengenai peran generasi Z dalam ruang virtual kota Jakarta sebagai kunci dari terbentuknya budaya populer, dengan menggunakan konsep antropologi digital dari Horst dan Miller mengenai materialitas. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data makalah adalah studi literatur dengan mengkaji data-data berupa buku dan artikel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa beberapa fenomena budaya populer kota Jakarta merupakan sebuah fenomena yang mendapatkan atensi masyarakat luas berkat bantuan generasi Z kota Jakarta. As the national capital, Jakarta is a city with people from various backgrounds. As a modern city, the city of Jakarta has a place that is a reflection of its people, formed through the internet to become the digital world of the city of Jakarta. As digital natives, Generation Z of Jakarta is a group of people who are most familier with the virtual space of Jakarta. Generation Z of Jakarta has an important role in the formation of popular culture phenomena. This paper will discuss the role of generation Z in the virtual space of the city of Jakarta as the key to the formation of popular culture, using Horst and Miller's digital anthropological concept of materiality. The method used in collecting paper data is a literature study by examining data in the form of books and articles. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that several popular cultural phenomena in the city of Jakarta are phenomena that have received the attention of the wider community thanks to the help of generation Z in the city of Jakarta. |
