Hubungan Antara Pola Komunikasi dan Kepuasan Hubungan Pernikahan Pada Usia Dewasa Madya = The Relationship Between Pattern of Communication and Relationship Satisfaction in Marriage Middle Adulthood

Dewasa madya merupakan usia ketika individu sedang menjalani berbagai macam peran yang mempengaruhi kepuasan hubungan dalam pernikahan mereka. Pola komunikasi, menjadi salah satu faktor yang dapat berfungsi dalam kepuasan hubungan pernikahan. Dimensi pola komunikasi konstruktif sebagai pola komunikasi positif sedangkan dimensi pola komunikasi self-demand/partner-withdraw, dan Middle adulthood is the age when individuals are undergoing various roles that affect relationship satisfaction in their marriage. Patterns of communication, become one of the factors that can function in the satisfaction of marital relations. The dimensions of constructive communication patterns are positive communication patterns, while the dimensions of self-demand/partner-withdraw and partner-demand/self-withdraw communication patterns are negative communication patterns. In this study, researchers wanted to see how this communication pattern relates to relationship satisfaction in marriage of middle-adult individuals aged 40 to 65 years who already have children and have one of their biological parents or in-laws. A total of 117 respondent data were successfully processed in this study with results indicating that there was a significant positive relationship between constructive communication patterns and relationship satisfaction (r = 0.439) and a significant negative relationship between self-demand/partner-withdraw communication patterns and relationship satisfaction ( r = -0.232), and partner- demand/self-withdrawal with relationship satisfaction (r = -0.256). From the results of this study it is hoped that it can be an educational tool for middle-aged individuals that communication patterns play a role in marital satisfaction. |
