Pendidikan merupakan aspek penting dalam pembangunan negara. Negara dengan sistem pendidikan yang baik, akan menghasilkan SDM yang berkualitas. Di samping dukungan pemerintah dalam hal peningkatan kualitas guru dan pembenahan sistem pengajaran, pendidikan anak juga di dukung oleh aspek ekonomi orang tua. Pendapatan rumah tangga akan menentukan fasilitas pendidikan anak yang dapat dibiayai oleh orang tuanya. Masalah ekonomi, pekerjaan orang tua, ketimpangan pendapatan rumah tangga menyebabkan perbedaan tingkat pendidikan bagi setiap anak.Penelitian ini mengkaji faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan keluarga petani sawit terhadap lamanya pendidikan anak. Metode analisis yang digunakan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor utama yang berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap lama tahun anak bersekolah adalah tingkat pendidikan orang tua dan biaya pendidikan anak. sedangkan variebel pendapatan keluarga petani tidak berpengaruh terhadap lama tahun anak bersekolah. Hal ini dikarenakan adanya pandangan setiap orang tua yamg berbeda terlihat dari tingkat pendidikan keluarga petani sawit tersebut Education is an important aspect in the development of the country. A country with a good education system will produce quality human resources. In addition to govermant support in terms of improving the quality of teachers and improving the teaching system, children’s education is also supported by the economic aspect of parents. Household income will determine children’s education facilities that can be financed by their parents.Economic problems, parental work inequality in household income cause differences in the level of education for each child. This study examines the factors that influence the decisions of oil palm farmers’ families on the lenath of their children’s education. The analytical method used is simple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that the main factors that significantly influence the number of years a child is in school are the education level of the parents and the cost of the child’s education. While the variebel of farmer family income has no effect on the length of the child’s school year. This is because the views of each parent are different, which can be seen from the level of education of the oil palm farmer family. |
