Kepopuleran film genre komedi romantis di seluruh dunia mendorong kreativitas industri perfilman Korea Selatan untuk menghasilkan film bertemakan cinta yang memiliki kekhasan tersendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan memaparkan bagaimana komponen cinta yang terkandung di dalam hubungan antara sembilan pasang tokoh utama film Happy New Year mempengaruhi jenis cinta yang terbentuk merepresentasikan tema kecil yang dipayungi tema besar yaitu ragam cinta manusia modern. Metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis unsur intrinsik yaitu tema yang dikaji menggunakan Teori Segitiga Cinta oleh Robert Sternberg. Teori ini memaparkan tiga komponen utama cinta yang terdiri atas keintiman (intimacy), hasrat (passion), dan keputusan atau komitmen (decision/commitment) dalam setiap hubungan yang berperan dalam membentuk delapan jenis cinta. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terbentuknya delapan jenis cinta dari hubungan sembilan pasang tokoh utama yaitu terdiri dari tanpa cinta (nonlove), rasa suka (liking), cinta gila (infatuated love), cinta kosong (empty love), cinta romantis (romantic love), cinta persahabatan (companionate love), cinta bodoh (fatuous love), dan cinta sempurna (consummate love). Hasil penelitian memaparkan kombinasi komponen cinta menghasilkan delapan jenis cinta representasi delapan tema kecil yang dipayungi satu tema besar yaitu ragam cinta manusia modern. The popularity of romantic comedy genre films throughout the world has encouraged the creativity of the South Korean film industry to produce love-themed films that have their own characteristics. This research aims to explain how the components of love contained in the relationships between the nine pairs of main characters in the film Happy New Year influence the kinds of love that is formed, representing a small theme under the umbrella of the large theme which is the variety of modern human love. Qualitative descriptive research methods were used to analyze intrinsic elements, namely themes studied using the Triangular Theory of Love by Robert Sternberg. This theory explains the three main components of love consisting of intimacy, passion, and decision or commitment in every relationship which play a role in forming eight kinds of love. The results of the analysis show the formation of eight kinds of love from the relationships of nine pairs of main characters, namely nonlove, liking, infatuated love, empty love, romantic love, companionate love, fatuous love, and consummate love. The results of the research explain that the combination of love components produces eight kinds of love, representing eight small themes which are covered by one large theme which is the variety of modern human love. |
