ABSTRAKTesis ini menganalisis kreativitas, kebersamaan dan pendidikan dalam Jak-Japan Matsuri 2009-2013 sebagai diplomasi budaya Jepang. Dengan menggunakan teori
soft power didukung oleh konsep diplomasi budaya, konsep kebudayaan dan konsep sosialisasi. Dalam lima tahun terakhir, pemerintah Jepang secara aktif menggelar perayaan pekan budaya Jepang di Jakarta yang dinamai Jak-Japan Matsuri. Penyelenggaraan perayaan ini berisikan kegiatan pertunjukan budaya Jepang dan
Indonesia. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan dengan adanya bekerjasama antara warga negara Jepang di Jakarta didukung oleh pemerintah Jepang bekerjasama dengan
Indonesia melalui pemerintah daerah khusus ibu kota Jakarta. Jak-Japan Matsuri dapat dikatakan telah menciptakan ketertarikan dan kekaguman masyarakat
Indonesia yang tinggal di Jakarta dan sekitarnya, dilihat dari jumlah pengunjung yang selalu padat tiap tahunnya.
