"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepribadian terhadap minat mahasiswa dalam memilih karir menjadi akuntan publik melalui pendekatan Myers ndash;Briggs Type Indicator MBTI . Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan survei kepada mahasiswa program sarjana akuntansi yang aktif dan terdaftar di Departemen Akuntansi Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Indonesia pada periode 2015/2016 dengan rentang angkatan 2011 sampai dengan 2013. Data diuji dengan menggunakan software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa preferensi kepribadian yang berhubungan dengan pengambilan informasi dan pembuatan keputusan yakni fungsi sensing dan thinking memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap pemilihan karir mahasiswa untuk menjadi akuntan publik.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of personality towards student rsquo s interest in choosing career to be public accountant through Myers ndash Briggs Type Indicator MBTI approach. "This research was conducted with the aim of developing previous studies that have successfully applied the science of graphology to analyze digital handwriting and characteristics of his personality through shape based feature extraction, which in the present study will be applied one method of psychological tests commonly used by psychologists to recognize human?s personality that is Enneagram. The Enneagram method in principle will classify the personality traits of a person into nine types through a series of questions, which then calculated the amount of the overall weight of the answer. Thickness is what will provide direction personality type, which will then be matched with the personality type of the result of the graphology analysis of the handwriting.
