"Universitas Sriwijaya merupakan perguruan tinggi negeri yang dalam menjalankan kegiatannya memiliki visi yaitu : “menjadi perguruan tinggi berbasis riset terkemuka, yang unggul dalam berbagai bidang ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi”. Dalam mendukung kegiatan sehari-harinya tersebut, Universitas Sriwijaya memiliki lembaga pelaksana akademik, LPPM Unsri yang mempunyai tugas memberikan dukungan teknis, administrasi, dan analisis kebijakan terkait dengan penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat. Pengetahuan menjadi sumber daya utama bagi LPPM Unsri dan harus dikelola sehingga pengetahuan itu tidak hilang akibat karyawan yang pensiun, mutasi dan rotasi, maupun pergantian Ketua LPPM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan strategi manajemen pengetahuan yang dapat mengetahui implementasi kebijakan dan pelaksanaan program penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat pada Universitas Sriwijaya. Perumusan strategi manajemen pengetahuan menggunakan kerangka kerja Zack. Hasil dari rumusan strategi manajemen pengetahuan antara lain: 1) kebijakan program penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat di perguruan tinggi berdasarkan kebijakan umum Direktorat Pendidikan Tinggi: 2) implementasi kebijakan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan tinggi masih ada kendala antara lain sosialisasi penelitian dan pengabdian masih kurang, dan kemampuan metodologi penelitian masih rendah; 3) hasil penelitian yang dilaksanakan dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pengembangan dan peningkatan ilmu pengetahuan. Namun masih sedikit yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan jumlah materi ajar, publikasi nasional atau intenasional, dan perolehan hak paten; dan 4) kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat belum berdasarkan hasil penelitian.

Sriwijaya University is a state university which in carrying out its activities has a vision, namely: “to become a leading research-based university, which excels in various fields of science and technology”. In supporting these daily activities, Sriwijaya University has an academic implementing agency, LPPM Unsri which has the task of providing technical, administrative and policy analysis support related to research and community service. Knowledge is the main resource for LPPM Unsri and must be managed so that knowledge is not lost due to retired employees, transfers and rotations, as well as changes in the Chair of the LPPM. This study aims to formulate a knowledge management strategy that can determine policy implementation and implementation of research and community service programs at Sriwijaya University. Formulation of knowledge management strategy using the Zack framework. The results of the formulation of the knowledge management strategy include: 1) research and community service program policies in tertiary institutions based on the general policy of the Directorate of Higher Education: 2) policy implementation in improving the quality of higher education still faces obstacles, including lack of socialization of research and community service, and lack of capacity research methodology is still low; 3) the results of the research carried out can be utilized for the development and improvement of knowledge. However, there is still little that can be used to increase the number of teaching materials, national or international publications, and obtain patents; and 4) community service activities are not yet based on research results."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tim ketja majalah anak-anak dengan inisial Bb. Data dan infommasi diperolch dari wawancara, observasi, dan data hasil penjualan sclama tahun 2005 dan 2006.
Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan kinerja tim keqa Bb sedang mengalami penurunan kinerja, dengan tolok ukur berdasarkan penurunan market share, hasil penjualan dan kegagalan dalam melakukan pengembangan produk baru.
Berdasarkan analisis daur hidup produk majalah Bb telah mencapai tahap decline. Produk yang berada pada tahap ini perlu di ?re-launching" melalui inovasi produk, proses, dan layanan. Untuk melakukan inovasi diperlukan pengetahuan dari iuar maupun dari dalam organisasi agar "produk" yang diciptakan dapat bertumbuh kembali. Masalahnya orang-orang di tim kerja Bb belum mengetahui cara untuk mengumpulkan infonnasi dan mengolah informasi menjadi pengetahuan. Permasalahan ini disebabkan karena faktor Organization Capital yaitu sistem dan budaya di tim kerja Bb masih menj adi penghambat terciptanya knowledge.
Sebagai rekomendasi untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, mula-mula yang harus dipersiapkan adalah Organization Capital untuk merangsang organisasi menjadi learning organization. Untuk menjadi learning organization, Organization Capital dibentuk berdasarkan penerapan tcori Organizational Knowledge Creation, scrta pcncrapan tcori FMh Discipline.

The research was conducted on a team of children magazine with the initial Bb. The data and information were obtained by interview and observation. All data and information were taken from the financial statistics of 2005 and 2006.
Measured by the decline of market share, the financial lost, and the failure to invent a new product; it is revealed that the work performance among the teams of Bb is declining.
The analysis shows that Bb magazine has reached the state of decline. At this point, the product needs to be relaunched with the innovation in product, process, and services. To implement the innovations, the teams should gain knowledge from inside and outside organizations so in order that the sales growth created products can increase. However, the member ofthe team do not know how to obtain the information and transform it into knowledge. Such problem is caused by the system and culture ofthe team that prohibits the knowledge sharing.
Based on the thorough analysis, firstly it is commended that the Organizational Capital is to prepare effectively by the management so that it can facilitate the Leaming Organization. Organization Capital should be developed based on the theories of Organizations Knowledge Creation and Fifth Discipline.
