"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh investment opportunity set, debt financing, profitability, dan risiko terhadap dividend payout ratio. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 35 perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di BEI dengan periode penelitian tahun 2010-2013. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan panel regression analysis dengan pendekatan OLS. Hasil regresi menunjukkan bahwa investment opportunity set, debt financing, dan risiko memberikan pengaruh negatif yang signifikan terhadap dividend payout ratio yang berarti jika terdapat peningkatan pada variabel-variabel tersebut, maka nilai dividen yang dibagikan akan mengalami penurunan. Sedangkan profitability memberikan pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap dividend payout ratio, yang berarti jika terjadi peningkatan profitability maka jumlah dividen yang dibagikan juga akan mengalami peningkatan.

The aim of this study is to analyze the influence of investment opportunity set, debt financing, profitability, and risks to the dividend payout ratio. Samples were 35 companies listed on the Stock Exchange with the study period 2010-2013. This research was conducted by using a panel regression analysis with OLS approach. Regression results show that the investment opportunity set, debt financing, and the risk had significant negative impact to the dividend payout ratio, which means if there is an increase in these variables, the dividend value will decrase. While profitability is a significant positive impact to the dividend payout ratio, which means if there is an increase profitability, the amount of the dividend will also increase."
