ABSTRACT
The large contribution of rice fields in Java to national rice production threatened to decrease by land conversion. Strategies to increase productivity to maintain the amount of rice production in Java is required without having to to extend the rice fields area. Rice production from existing area has an opportunity to increase production by considering its productivity potential based on physical component of land and non physical component of production character. The potential productivity of rice fields is identified from the actual productivity pattern based on the component of land in the form of physiography, soil type and land suitability class. The productivity improvement strategy is realized by improving the components of production in the form of capital for seed, fertilizer, pesticide, labor and machine , the human resources of farmers, agriculture system and socio economic characteristics of rice fields. This study aimed to assess the potential of productivity improvement of rice fields in the Citarum watershed by observing the effect of production components on the productivity of rice fields associated with the pattern of rice productivity based on the typology of land components. The pattern analysis includes the distribution and the variation of productivity. Quantitative approach with overlay method was used to map the pattern of rice productivity, while qualitative approach through descriptive analysis was used to describe the correlation between the components of production and the socio economic character of rice fields to the productivity grade. The results showed that the variation value of productivity was influenced by the typology of land components, while the differences value of productivities between two or more rice field with the same typology due to the differences in components of production and its socio economic characteristics."

"Abtract – In order to maintain food security, it is wiser if the food priority is not limited to rice, but also encourages product diversity of local food-based such as maize, cassava, sweet potato, breadfruit, taro, and banana. The problems of utilizing banana potential in Bogor District are low production due to land use change, plant function change, some farmers have perception of bananas as a second class plant, Fusarium wilt disease, limited use of bananas as fresh fruit and small industrial processed products (such as chips, sale, molen), and production has not been able to fulfill market demand and consequently, export market opportunities have not been utilized. This study describes the extent to which large potential of banana can be used optimally by using defense economics, demand-supply, and food security theory. Primary data sources were obtained from interviews with informant from Local Government, farmers and banana traders in Bogor District, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Trade. Secondary data sources include both from Ministry, Distanhorti, Disdagin, BPS, journals, and electronic media. Validation data by triangulation and data analysis of Miles-Huberman. The results show that bananas have great potential to be developed in Bogor District but its utilization is not optimal. This is due to several factors including application of inappropriate cultivation techniques with SOP, limited large-scale land, land conversion, without large company partnerships. Therefore, it is necessary to build partnerships with large private companies, synergies and coordination between stakeholders in order to increase bananas potential as trade commodity, hence can fulfill market demand. In the end it will improve economic security as one of the main focuses of the defense economy."

Mangroves have the ability to store and absorb carbon in living and dead biomass, and sediments. This study aims to determine the amount of litter productivity, the amount of litter released into the waters, the rate of litter decomposition, the potential for carbon that can be absorbed and stored by the Rambut Island mangrove forest. The research was conducted from September-November 2020 and March-June 2021. Methods of collecting data related to the composition of vegetation and carbon stock using purposive sampling and calculated by allometric equations. Litter productivity and decomposition rate were measured for 42 days with observations every 2 weeks. Litter released into the waters is measured by filtering litter when the sea water recedes. Carbon in the sediment was measured by taking sediment at a depth of 0-30 cm. Tree vegetation and saplings were dominated by Rhizophora mucronata and seedlings by Excoecaria agallocha. Carbon stock and carbon sequestration in Rambut Island mangrove forest were 278.60 tons/ha and 951.41 tons/ha, respectively. Carbon stock in sediment is 19.36 ton/ha. The amount of litter productivity and carbon potential are 2.741 g/m2/day and 9.72 g/m2/day. The fastest decomposition rate was achieved by Rhizophora mucronata, which was 0.191 g/day. The amount of litter released into the waters is 21.27 g/m3/day with a carbon content of 50.82%."

Namun, kebijakan subsidi pupuk seringkali mengalami kendala, seperti sistem alokasi pupuk bersubsidi kurang akurat, peggunaan pupuk bersubsidi berlebih, hingga masalah lemahnya pengawasan distribusi pupuk bersubsidi.

Agricultural input subsidy programs such as fertilizer subsidies have been implemented since the 1970s in Indonesia. In its implementation, the fertilizer subsidy policy has proven to be influential in increasing the productivity of agricultural land in Indonesia. However, the fertilizer subsidy policy often encounters obstacles, such as the inaccurate distribution of subsidized fertilizers, the excessive use of subsidized fertilizers, and the problem of weak supervision of the distribution of subsidized fertilizers. Therefore, in 2017 the government implemented the Kartu Tani program as a new policy to overcome problems in the previous fertilizer subsidy policy. To find out the impact of the Kartu Tani program on the level of productivity of food agriculture land in Indonesia, a study was conducted using panel data from all provinces in Indonesia for 6 years (2015-2020). Using Pooled Least Square (PLS) models, this study wants to test whether the Kartu Tani program affects the productivity of agricultural land by using the Kartu Tani program, subsidized fertilizer, number of farmers, climate, and technology as independent variables. The results showed that the Kartu Tani program was statistically proven to increase the productivity of agricultural land. In addition, the influence of climatic conditions and the use of agricultural equipment technology has also been shown to significantly increase the productivity of agricultural land. Meanwhile, the allocation of subsidized fertilizers and the number of farmers were not proven to be statistically significant in increasing the productivity of agricultural land. This is due to the inefficiency of using subsidized fertilizers and the large number of farmers compared to the area of ??agricultural land.

Introduction: Food waste is becoming a global issue amidst growing hunger concerns in several countries. Indonesia is one of the top 5 food waste generating countries in the world and the top waste generating country in Southeast Asia. The negative impacts of food waste are felt economically, environmentally, and in terms of health. Consequently, efforts are necessary to prevent food waste. The main focus should be on preventing it at the source by reducing the production of excess food, and when surplus occurs, the distribution of food for the next consumption becomes crucial.
Objectives: This redistribution practice is known as food sharing. Unfortunately, the practice of food sharing has not been widely adopted in Indonesia, including in Depok city. Therefore, research is needed to explore information related to the potential application of Food Sharing practices in Depok City.
Methods: This study was a qualitative study with a descriptive design.
Results: Informants were unfamiliar with the concept of food sharing but had a positive attitude towards this concept. Restaurant and orphanage facilities showed readiness in implementing the Food Sharing practices while mediator facilities showed unreadiness. There was no cross-sectoral cooperation available for further implementation of Food Sharing. Furthermore, there was a lack of local government policy for surplus food management in Depok City, caused no Food Sharing practices have been implemented in this area.
Conclusion: In Depok City, there has been no adoption of institutionalized food sharing practices. However, the practice of food sharing has been implemented, if there is surplus food, it is distributed to the employees. The main barriers to the potential implementation of food sharing practices in Depok City were the lack of awareness, accessibility, and suitability of the food.
