This study discussed about the Japanese rsquo s reaction that divided into two opinion on Russo Japanese War in 1904 1905. On another side, people support the war but on the other hand some people oppose it. The main focus on this study are to explain how the Japanese express their mind about the war and why pro war opinion is so high on the Japanese. This study result reveals that the Japanese expressed their mind about the war through various organizations and movements. Then, the reason behind why pro war opinion got many support are government secrecy policy, strict control to war related information, and Russian provocative action."

"Skripsi menganalisis kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh organisasi nirlaba asal Jepang, e-Education di Waikabubak, Sumba Barat. Analisis terhadap kegiatan terfokus pada perubahan tingkat kesukaan peserta didik terhadap Jepang setelah menjalani rangkaian agenda e-Education. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori kekuasaan oleh Michel Foucault, untuk mengukur ada tidaknya perubahan, peneliti menggunakan Japanese Fondness Point (JFP) Index oleh Noboru Toyoshima. Hasil penelitian manunjukkan bahwa kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh e-Education meningkatkan kesukaan peserta didik terhadap Jepang meskipun hanya 1 poin karena ternyata peserta didik sudah menyukai Jepang sebelumnya. Mereka memiliki pandangan yang baik tentang Jepang saat sebelum adanya kegiatan dari e-Education.

This thesis analyzes the activity of Japanese Non Profit Organization, e-Education at Waikabubak, West Sumba. The Analysis is focus on the shift of Students fondness level towards Japanese after experiencing e-Education Activity. The shift of fondness level could be known by using Japanese Fondness Point Index by Noboru Toyoshima. The datas, then, are analyzed by using theory of power relation by Michel Foucault. The result shows that e-Education activity in Waikabubak make the student have the shift of fondness level by 1 point. It is caused by the fondness point was previously big enough. they had good image about Japan and Japanese before they experiencing e-Education Activity."

"Penelitian ini membahas tindak tutur ekspresif memuji dalam bahasa Jepang yang digunakan pada serial drama berjudul The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House. Data penelitian diambil dari tuturan pujian tokoh dalam drama tersebut dari episode 6-9. Pertanyaan penelitian berfokus pada bagaimana sasaran pujian dan bagaimana menyampaikannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dan pendekatan analisis-deskriptif. Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan sasaran dan fungsi tindak tutur pujian yang ada dalam drama tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data, ditemukan 70 data, dengan pujian terhadap keterampilan secara langsung paling banyak ditemukan. Sementara itu, pujian terhadap keterampilan secara tidak langsung adalah dengan memuji kasil karya petutur. Selain itu, fungsi pujian yang ditemukan pada semua data adalah mengekspresikan rasa kagum. Sedangkan fungsi pujian yang paling jarang ditemukan adalah pujian yang mengekspresikan rasa ingin memiliki. Hal ini disebabkan oleh tema utama drama yang lebih menonjolkan hubungan harmonis di antara para karakter, tanpa adanya elemen kompetisi, sehingga pujian lebih banyak digunakan untuk apresiasi.

This study discusses the expressive speech acts of complimenting in Japanese as used in the drama series The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House. The data corpus consists of compliment utterances by characters in the drama, specifically from episodes 6 to 9. The study questions focus on the targets of compliments, how they are delivered, and their functions. This study employs a qualitative method and a descriptive-analytical approach. The aim is to explain the targets and functions of compliment speech acts featured in the drama. Based on data analysis, 70 instances of compliments were identified, with direct compliments on ability being the most frequently observed. Indirect compliments on ability, on the other hand, were found to occur through compliments on the speaker’s work. Additionally, the most commonly identified function of compliments was to express admiration, while the least common function was expressing a desire to possess. This is attributed to the drama’s central theme, which emphasizes harmonious relationships among characters without elements of competition, making compliments predominantly used for appreciation."
