"Era globalisasi merupakan proses menyatunya dunia melalui sistem-sistem atau kaidah-kaidah yang sama. Globalisasi terjadi dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan yang saling berintegrasi dalam prosesnya. Salah satu sistem yang mendunia adalah manajemen Jepang yang disebut kaizen. Dalam ranah manajemen, Istilah kaizen beserta konsep-konsepnya seperti 5S, Total Quality Control (Total Kontrol Kualitas), zero defects (Nihil Cacat), just in time (Tepat Waktu), Total Quality Manajemen (Total Manajemen Kualitas), suggestion system (Sistem Saran), dan lain-lainnya, menjadi populer sebagai kunci kesuksesan perusahaan dalam persaingan di era globalisasi yang ketat. Penerapan kaizen yang memiliki nilai-nilai kebudayaan Jepang tersebut tentunya dilatarbelakangi oleh bermacam faktor-faktor pendukung.

Globalization era is the process of the world united by the same systems or ideologies. Globalization happened in various aspects of life, which is integrated in term of the process. One of the globalized systems is the Japanese management called kaizen. In the management context, kaizen and it concepts such as 5S, Total Quality Control, Zero Defects, Just in Time, Total Quality Management, Suggestion System, etc, is become popular as company’s key of success in the tight competition of globalization. The implementation of kaizen that has values of Japanese cultures must be has various supported factors.

"Fenomena global yaitu globalisasi menurut mantan kepala IMF (International Monetary Fund) Stanley Fischer sebagai perkembangan proses ketergantungan ekonomi antar negara, dimana proses tersebut sudah mempengaruhi Australia dan Negara-negara lain. Seperti definisinya, makalah ini akan membahas tentang aspek ekonomi dari globalisasi di Australia.
Makalah ini akan membahas bagaimana globalisasi dimulai dari Australia serta efeknya pada Australia. Untuk mengetahui apa saja efek tersebut, kita harus mulai dari mengetahui momen-momen penting sepanjang sejarah Australia yang disebabkan oleh globalisasi. Australia sangatlah terkoneksi dengan Negara lain dalam bidang ekonomi melalui transaksi jasanya (transaksi jasa merupakan 80% dari total GDP Australia1) dan perdagangan komoditas seperti batu bara (dimana Australia memiliki competitive advantage2).
Australia merupakan salah satu negara yang paling global, dibuktikan dengan sebuah riset dari Ernst and Young pada tahun 2013 dimana Australia merupakan negara dengan urutan ke 24 paling terglobalisasi pada tahun 20123.

The global phenomenon that is globalization is defined by former IMF (International Monetary Fund) chief Stanley Fischer as the ongoing process of greater economic interdependence among countries, and it has affected Australia and other countries. As the definition stated, this essay will discuss the economic aspect of globalization focusing on Australia.
The essay will discuss how globalization started in Australia as well as the effects of globalization in Australia. To know the effects of globalization in Australia, we need to take a look on how globalization started in Australia and note the important events along the way up until today that is caused by globalization.
Australia is highly engaged with the world in terms of economy through majorly services (services provide 80% of Australia‟s GDP) and commodity trading such as coal (where Australia has a competitive advantage). Australia is highly globalized with recent research from Ernst and Young in 2013 stating that Australia is the 24th most globalized nation in 2012.

"When a country wants to get wealthy economy, in condition that changes rapidly, the commerce must play the important part (Hatta, 1998). In this globalization era each part of economy has to raise their ability to compete in produce, sell, even break the market, which still not restriction clearly. In other words they must be able to compete in competitive economy.
Today, sea transportation exertion encounters menace because of the work rate and competition ability of national transportation is still low. This case can be shown from the national sea business is still marginal, low port service, apprehensive safety, security and sea pollution. These problems caused high cost and risk sea transportation exertion, and maritime area classified as black spot (unreliable area).
In 2003, total shipping and carriers business is US$ 535.056.138. For domestic carriers is US$ 170.525.200 and national shipping only US$ 90.719.407 or 53.2% while abroad freight is US$ 364.817.246, national shipping US$ 15.103.601 or 3.41% and rest is taken by foreign shipping.
In 2003, the PT. Djakarta Lloyd can get operational income at least 350 billion. Domestic shipping lines give 213 (about 240 billion) of total income. Rest, about 4% of total freight business comes from domestic lines (Finance bureau of PT. Djakarta Lloyd, 2003).
Strategy analysis is important, because the changes is occurred every second, tightly competition, rising of inflation, descend economic growth, more sophisticated technology and demographic condition that caused the turned of consumers desire rapidly.
In this case will be discussed how competitive position and strategy that agreed with PT. Djakarta Lloyd using SWOT analysis.
This research used quantitative analysis research method to descript the company condition with its potential consumers.
The identification result of internal and external factors show that tariff assignment policy as strength factor would give significant impact in business strategy. The limits of capital will impact the development effort, it will become big menace, while the speed of national economy growth will become big opportunity but it will face depreciation menace of currency exchange (Rp against US$).
The discussion result using SWOT analysis makes conclusions as follow:
1. Competitive position of PT. Djakarta Lloyd today is in the first quadrant, it means the position that direct to the aggressive growth (growth oriented strategy)
2. Competitive strategy that the company must to do is opportunity maximize opportunity supported the existing strength though faced capital limits and menace currency exchange depredation.

"The management of communication sector which included government as a regulator and providing the service by operator and also other service provider, aimed to provide communication service which can fulfill intention and requirement of all public community not only in country, but also from and to foreign country.
In sea communication sub-sector, especially in port, the government through the revision from Government Regulation No. 7011996 become Government Regulation No. 6912001 has given the facility to stakeholder to be able to respond the situation that happened in liberalization, competition in globalization, transformation in reformation era and also the implementation of decentralization.
By the implementation of Government Regulation No. 6912001, PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II, in managing port service in the future should positively done in improving income through good strategic management, because the challenge in the future in facing the competition is more competitive either in the country, for example of Local Government demand in order to make-up of Local Government Income and also competition which tend to ascend with other port in ASEAN, for example Port Of Singapore, Port of Kiang, Bintulu, Tanjung Pelepas, Hochi Minh, etc which have more efficient in operational performance.
In facing the competition which tend to global, it is needed the existence of reliable strategic management matching with existing strategic environment which able to assign value added to company growth, especially in make-up its income. This is the condition which need excellence compete in managing its business.
Therefore, in stimulating how the company could succeed in facing the competition in the future which tend to spread out, it is needed the existence of scenario planning of strategic management for company to know the situation happened in the next time, so that various policy which need to solve the condition could set up early.
This research is aiming to analyze how compilation process of scenario planning of strategic management of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II in facing the globalization, to show what factors were become resistor in creating excellence competition of the company in providing the port service, and also to explain what factors which can be developed to to create excellence competition in providing the port service.
The theory in this research, are taken from various literature, Internet websites and interview with all experts concerning the strategic management of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II to face the competition globally which analyzed with scenario planning approach.
This research are basically showing and describing all external and internal factors related to scenario planning of company which estimated that it can influence emulation of management of port that happened in the future. The approaches used in this research are qualitative approach, so that it can explain the reality or symptom which happened in business management in the future.
From the result of analysis, it can know that the decision of the strategic management of the company in the future very influenced by the decisions as a key factors for scenario input. Hereinafter, from the result of that analysis found that there are 10 factors which have high impact level and uncertainty of degree, which influence the compilation process of scenario, can divide to four clusters.
The conclusion of this research is there are four scenarios in developing PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II base on most sensible strategic management in the future. Pursuant to interpretation, hence the scenario ?PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II Berjaya? is the scenario which is more reliable happened in the future.
So that the scenario planning of strategic management of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II in facing the of globalization which have been compiled in this research become better and more objective, it is suggested to be continued with additional research by socialization or consulted with other related parties outside the company.
