"New Product development has become an important part of a company success and survival. In the steel industry where product is the same, every steel companies is vulnerable to price cut. To defend them self, these steel companies need to develop new product that will put them in a better competitive position. This research aims to describe new product development process at PT. Krakatau Steel and the process effected the speed, cost, and quality of the new product. This research is a descriptive research. The new product development process at PT. Krakatau Steel follow a sequential phase. The speed of the development is steel low compare to leading steel company. The cost of the new product development was never evaluated. The company only rely on new product production cost to determine profitability. The quality of the new product conforms with industrial standard because the new products are derivatives of existing and improvement of existing product."

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi sistem pengendalian internal pada proses pengembangan produk bancassurance dan merekomendasikan tindakan perbaikan atas masalah yang timbul dalam proses pengembangan produk bancassurance. Unit analisis yang digunakan adalah aspek pengembangan produk bancassurance dalam Divisi Wealth Management pada sebuah perbankan terkemuka di Indonesia (PT. X). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data-data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui metode observasi dan wawancara. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai sistem pengendalian internal pada proses pengembangan produk bancassurance yang dievaluasi dengan menggunakan kerangka kerja pengendalian internal COSO (2013) yang terdiri dari 5 (lima) komponen (lingkungan pengendalian, penilaian risiko, aktivitas pengendalian, informasi dan komunikasi, kegiatan pemantauan) dan 17 prinsip yang mewakili konsep dasar yang terkait dengan setiap komponen. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan menganalisis kelemahan beserta upaya perbaikan atas sistem pengendalian internal pada Divisi Wealth Management PT. X. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa menurut kerangka kerja pengendalian internal COSO (2013), penerapan sistem pengendalian internal pada Divisi Wealth Management PT. X sudah terbilang baik dan efektif. Namun apabila ditinjau lebih lanjut dalam pelaksanaannya terutama dalam aspek pengembangan produk bancassurance, masih terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi sistem pengendalian internal pada Divisi Wealth Management PT. X menjadi kurang efektif sehingga sebaiknya dilakukan perbaikan agar tujuan Divisi Wealth Management PT. X dapat tercapai secara optimal.

ABSTRACT
This research aims to evaluate the internal control system in the bancassurance product development process and recommend corrective actions for problems that arise in the bancassurance product development process. The research subject used is the aspect of bancassurance product development in the Wealth Management Division of a leading banking in Indonesia (PT. X). This research uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach. The data used in this research are collected through observation and interview methods. This research discusses about internal control system in the bancassurance product development process that are evaluated using the COSO's internal control-integrated framework (2013) which consists of 5 (five) components (control environment, risk assessment, control activities, information and communication, monitoring activities) and 17 principles that representing the fundamental concepts associated with each component. Then proceed with analyzing the weaknesses along with efforts to improve the internal control system at PT. X's Wealth Management Division. From this research, it can be concluded that according to COSO's internal control-integrated framework (2013), the implementation of the internal control system in PT. X's Wealth Management Division has been considered good and effective. However, if further reviewed in its implementation, especially in the aspect of bancassurance product development process, there are still several factors that influence the internal control system of PT. X's Wealth Management Division to be less effective so it needs improvements in orders to achieve the goal of PT. X's Wealth Management Division optimally."

"Blue Ocean Strategy is the prominent strategy nowadays in Indonesia, especially when many businesses are facing market as well as resource similarity. These condition is forming to the bloody competition in the red ocean. Blue ocean strategy is very demanding, it has been publicly introduced in several years ago, so leaders or managers should pay more attention on the detail analysis for the implementation. This paper discussed the point of view from strategies for diversification; champion - sponsor; and priority scale in order to present the risk that appeared in Blue Ocean implementation. In the last part, this paper presented some solutions in order to minimize the involved risk in implementing Blue Ocean Strategy."

"Sebuah startup dikatakan berhasil apabila terjadi kesesuaian produk dengan kebutuhan pasar, atau sering disebut product-market fit. Tak hanya kesesuaian produk, kesuksesan startup juga ditentukan oleh pasar yang tepat. Dengan keduanya, startup dapat mengalami pertumbuhan yang eksponensial. Namun, fakta di lapangan menunjukkan 90% startup mengalami kegagalan dan sebagian besar diakibatkan ketidaksesuaian produk dengan pasar. Salah satu faktor sukses startup adalah kegiatan komunikasi nilai produk untuk meningkatkan jumlah pengguna serta posisi perusahaan. Instrumen digital seperti media sosial menjadi pilihan banyak perusahaan dengan semua kelebihan dan potensinya saat ini. Penelitian ini meneliti strategi komunikasi media sosial yang dilakukan startup dalam proses mencapai product-market fit. Jenis penelitian ini adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan tahapan wawancara dan observasi demi prinsip triangulasi, dengan proses analisa coding terhadap startup yang telah melewati product-market fit. Hasil uji menggambarkan kegiatan komunikasi dalam pembangunan startup, serta tujuan, strategi dan taktik di media sosial. Rumusan tujuan, strategi dan taktik sosial media untuk mencapai product-market fit bergantung pada jenis produk, target pengguna, tahapan pembangunan serta kondisi dan keputusan perusahaan. Kegiatan komunikasi media sosial bersifat mendukung kegiatan lainnya di awal pembangunan startup, dan semakin aktif seiring proses pencapaian product-market fit hingga mengembangkan bisnis.

A startup can be said to be successful if it was able to match between the market needs and its product offerings, also known as product-market fit. Not only product fit, a startup's success is also determined by the right market. With both, a startup can experience an exponential growth. Yet, the fact of the matter is that 90% of startups fail, with the majority of failures caused by ill-fitting product within a marketplace. A crucial factor for a startup's success is its communications effort highlighting product values to increase its userbase along with the company's positioning. Digital platforms such as social media becomes the startups' preferred tool with all of their advantages and potential. This study researches the social media communications strategy that many startups undergo in the process of attaining product-market fit. This is a case study with a descriptive qualitative approach, employing such techniques including interviews and observations to triangulate the results, and also coding analysis process toward startups which have gone through product-market fit. The study portrays communications strategy in the build up of a startup, as well as strategic, tactical, and purposing of the social media ecosystem. The formulations of social media purpose, strategy and tactics to achieve market fit are dependent upon product offerings, target user, stage of growth and the company's conditions and culture. The social media communications effort typically support other activities in the early stages of a startup's growth, and increase in intensity along with growth to achieve product-market fit to business maturation."

"The increasing competitiveness of todays industry forced each company to improve the quality of its products by considering customer demand One way to improve the quality is by doing a product development process using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Regardless of all the benefits of QFD possessed this method is subjective by nature, especially in the determination of engineering characteristics target efforts. This study uses Fuzzy QFD method to point out the optimal engineering characteristics value for towing tractor product, produced by PTT United Tractors Pandu Engineering, with special acknowledgement on uncertainties and vagueness in determining importance rating. satisfaction level the relationship between customer attributes with engineering characteristics, and technical correlation. The first step is to decide on parameter coeficients between attributes using fuzzy linear regression technique. These coefficients will act as constraints in determining the optimal engineering characteristics value with the means of multiobjective decision making, along with other constraints."

"Dalam Game Development, proses penyusunan objek dalam permainan merupakan proses yang repetitif. Fitur-fitur pada suatu game object ada yang dapat digunakan ulang pada sebuah game object yang baru. Pendekatan tersebut mirip dengan pendekatan software product line engineering (SPLE) yang menggunakan konsep commonality dan variability. Penelitian dilakukan untuk melihat bagaimana eksekusi proses penyusunan objek dalam game dengan pendekatan SPLE. Proses penelitian dimulai dari identifikasi fitur dan penyusunan feature model untuk objek permainan terlebih dahulu, kemudian analisis perbandingan metode menyusun objek permainan cara manual dengan cara pendekatan SPLE. Ditemukan bahwa metode penyusunan dengan pendekatan SPLE memiliki jumlah langkah yang lebih sedikit dibandingkan metode manual. Metode penyusunan game object dengan metode SPLE dapat menjadi alternatif solusi untuk penyusunan game object yang memiliki fitur yang mirip.

In Game Development, the process of creating an object is a repetitive process. Several features defined in a previously made game object can be reused when creating a brand new game object. The approach is similar to the software product line engineering (SPLE) concept which defines commonality and variability. This research is conducted to document the object creation process inside a game using the SPLE approach. The research begins from feature identification and feature model creation for the game object, followed by a comparison analysis of the manual game object creation process and the SPLE approach. From the results, it can be deduced that the method using the SPLE approach takes less steps compared to the manual approach. The object creation process using the SPLE method can be an alternative solution to the creation of game objects with similar features."

"Pemanasan global dan terus naiknya harga minyak mentah dunia merupakan masalah yang sangat serius saat ini. Pemanasan global telah mengakibatkan perubahan iklim yang semakin tidak menentu, menyebabkan es dikutub mencair, dan suhu rata-rata bumi semakin meningkat. Ini semua diakibatkan oleh ulah manusia yang tidak menjaga lingkungannya dengan baik. Salah satu penyebab pemanasan global ini adalah penggunaan bahan bakar yang berlebihan pada sector transportasi. Oleh karena itu kita harus mengurangi pengunaan bahan bakar ini dengan menciptakan teknologi yang dapat menghemat bahan bakar. Salah satu teknologi ini adalah teknologi kendaraan hybrid. Kendaraan hybrid adalah kendaraan yang menggunakan dua jenis sumber energi sebagai tenaga penggeraknya, yaitu energi pembakaran dan energi listrik. Dengan adanya energi listrik sebagai pengganti sebagian kebutuhan bahan bakar maka penggunaan bahan bakar dapat dikurangi.
Pada penelitian ini akan dikembangkan suatu test bed yang dapat mensimulasikan proses kerja dari kendaraan hybrid. Test bed ini terpasang motor listrik, motor bakar, sensor dan transmisi CVT yang secara penuh dikendalikan oleh mikrokontroler. Mikrokontroler berfungsi mengolah input menjadi output berdasarkan logika yang diberikan. Permasalahan yang timbul ketika menggunakan dua jenis tenaga penggerak yang berbeda karakteristik adalah menggabungkan kedua jenis tenaga penggerak tersebut agar dapat berjalan dengan mulus. Salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi ini adalah menggunakan transmisi CVT. Setelah dilakukan penelitian maka transmisi CVT dapat mengurangi hentakan ketika terjadi perpindahan mode tenaga penggerak. Selain itu sensor-sensor yang digunakan dapat berfungsi dengan baik untuk mendeteksi parameter. Parameter ini adalah kecepatan putaran torsi dan posisi.

Global warming and dramatically increased crude oil price have been serious problems until now. Global warming has caused many problems like unpredicted weather changes, Arctic sea ice keeps melting, and earth's average temperature keeps increasing too. These are caused by human behavior who doesn't care enough for their natural environment conditions. One of the factors that make global warming worse is excessive fuel consumption at transportation. To reduce this excessive consumption, we have use technology to create more environmentally vehicle. Environment friendly vehicle that has been invented is Hybrid vehicle. Hybrid vehicle combine two kinds of energy source to drive the vehicle. The sources are combustion and electric energy. By using electric energy as the partial replacement of combustion energy needs we can save more fuels.
In this research we are trying to make a test bed that can simulate hybrid vehicle operation. Electric motor, combustion engine, sensors, CVT transmission are attached to this test bed. All are controlled by a microcontroller which are programmed. We have to combine two kinds of drive source with different torque characteristics. This is going be a little hard to do. But we will combine this two drive sources so they can operate smoothly. To make this happen we can use CVT transmission. CVT transmission can make transition from combustion mode to electric mode smoothly. We use torque, position and angular speed as variables to control the operation.

"Quality Function Deployment (QFD) process quantifies customer explicit and implicit needs, relating them with engineering requirements. Value Analysis (VA) process establishes an optimal allocation of resources according to the importance level of product functions. By combined application of QF D and VA tools, here named QFDVA, it is possible to establish optimum cost values for each engineering requirement according to the customer needs. It is also possible to evaluate the cost of each product function. Furthermore, the methodology provides a tool that supports decision making in product development and enhance value of products. This study applied QFDVA in product development of wardrobe at PTI XYZ. Application of QFDVA is done by identifying every implicit and explicit needs of the customer, finding the importance level of every needs, translating the needs into engineering requirements; and determining the optimum costs allocation to fulfill every customer needs. The application of QFDVA has improved the value of the wardrobe from the aspect of customer needs fulfillment and company 's resources allocation to fulfill the needs."

"Terkadang realisasi kebutuhan pengembangan aplikasi web baru sudah diimplementasikan sebagian pada aplikasi web lain. Harusnya efisiensi pengembangan dapat ditingkatkan dengan me-reuse realisasi tersebut dan mengurangi jumlah kebutuhan yang diimplementasikan dari awal. Developer menyelesaikan kasus tersebut dengan pendekatan clone-and-own yang memungkinkan penggunaan fungsionalitas suatu perangkat lunak pada perangkat lunak lain. Meskipun meningkatkan efisiensi pengembangan, namun clone-and-own menimbulkan masalah maintainability pada perangkat lunak yang sudah dikembangkan. Masalah tersebut dapat diatasi dengan pendekatan alternatif seperti paradigma software product line engineering (SPLE) yang efisiensinya dapat ditingkatkan dengan konsep multi product line (MPL). Sayangnya, SPLE dan MPL belum umum digunakan untuk mengembangkan perangkat lunak web karena kurangnya web framework yang menunjang kedua pendekatan tersebut. Hal ini yang mendasari implementasi WinVMJ framework sebagai web framework untuk mengembangkan aplikasi web dengan SPLE dan MPL. Framework ini belum menerapkan alur kerja SPLE secara menyeluruh, sehingga validitas perangkat lunak tidak terjamin. Untuk melengkapi alur kerja SPLE WinVMJ, penelitian ini mengintegrasikannya dengan FeatureIDE. Integrasi dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap: merancang alur kerja SPLE, mendefinisikan kumpulan artefak yang diperlukan untuk pengembangan perangkat lunak, dan implementasi plugin bernama WinVMJ composer untuk memproses kumpulan artefak yang didefinisikan. Alur kerja SPLE WinVMJ berhasil dilengkapi dengan WinVMJ composer yang mampu memproses artefak dari FeatureIDE dan melakukan validasi produk secara menyeluruh. Selain itu, evaluasi WinVMJ composer juga menunjukkan adanya keunggulan penerapan MPL dan penyusunan produk dibandingkan WinVMJ framework.

Sometimes the realization of new web application development needs has been partially implemented in other web applications. Development efficiency should be increased by reusing the realization and reducing the number of requirements implemented from scratch. Developers solve this case with a clone-and-own approach that allows using the functionality of one software on another. Although this approach improves development efficiency, clone-and-own causes maintainability issues in the developed software. This problem can be overcome by alternative approaches, such as the software product line engineering (SPLE) paradigm, whose efficiency can be increased by the multi-product line (MPL) concept. Unfortunately, SPLE and MPL are not commonly used to develop web software due to the lack of web frameworks that supports them. This issue underlies the implementation of the WinVMJ framework as a web framework for developing web applications with SPLE and MPL. This framework has not fully implemented the SPLE workflow, which causes a lack of software validity. To complete it, this research integrates it with featured. The integration is carried out in three stages: designing the SPLE workflow, defining the artifact set for software development after integration, and implementing a plugin named WinVMJ composer to process the defined artifacts set. The WinVMJ's SPLE workflow is completed with WinVMJ composer, which can process FeatureIDE's artifacts and perform thorough product validation. In addition, the evaluation of the WinVMJ composer also shows the advantages of implementing MPL and product compilation compared to the WinVMJ framework."
