"Artikel ini mengungkapkan hal-hal yang tersirat di balik penderitaan yang dialami oleh seorang istri dalam cerita pendek Première Neige karya Guy de Maupassant yang bercerita mengenai kehidupan seorang wanita Paris yang tinggal di Normandia setelah menikah dengan seorang bangsawan Normandia. Di sana ia hidup di sebuah tempat yang sangat berbeda dengan tempat asalnya, yaitu Paris. Maupassant menceritakan setiap peristiwa dengan sangat detil dan menggunakan simbol-simbol dan atribut dalam menggambarkan keadaan yang terjadi pada Première Neige. Ia menampilkan cerita pendek ini secara fisik dengan menggambarkan perbedaan watak yang besar antara suami istri karena mereka berasal dari dua tempat yang berbeda. Namun, di balik kesederhanaan dalam Première Neige , tersirat penderitaan sesungguhnya yang dialami oleh seorang istri.

This article reveals the things untold behind the suffering experienced by a wife in a short story Première Neige by Guy de Maupassant which tells about the life of a woman from Paris who lived in Normandy after her marriage with a nobleman of Normandy. There she lived in a place that is very different from her hometown, Paris. Maupassant tells each event in great detail and use of symbols and attributes to describe the situation at the Première Neige. He explains this short story by describing the physical nature of the big differences between husband and wife because they come from two different places. However, behind the simplicity of the Première Neige, implied actual suffering endured by a wife."
