"[Jurnal ini merupakan studi analisis film Black Hawk Down produksi Hollywood
sebagai film kepahlawanan yang kontroversial. Penulis menggunakan teori
Enlightment as mass deception oleh Max Adorno dan Theodore Horkheimer yang
membantu penulis dalam menganalisa film ini. Penulis menemukan bahwa film ini
sudah mengalami proses komodifikasi oleh pemerintah Amerika, Pentagon setelah
peristiwa 9-11. Jurnal ini juga dilengkapi dengan konsep soft power dengan temuan
bahwa Amerika Serikat menggunakan film-film Hollywood sebagai soft power
mereka untuk melanggengkan citra kepahlawanan Negara Amerika Serikat., This Journal is a content analysis study of Black Hawk Down the movie produced by
Hollywood as a controversial heroic movie. The writer use Adorno’s “Enlightment as
a mass deception” theory that help the writer to analyze this movie. The writer found
that this movie has gone through a commodification by the authority of the United
States of America’s pentagon after the 9-11 incident. This Journal is also use the
concept of soft power that resulted the founding that this movie is being used as soft
power by the Government of United States of America to preserved the idea of heroic
