"The Rakhine (Arakanese) from present-day Rakhine State (Arakan) in Western Myanmar and the Marma from the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) of Southeast Bangladesh originated from the same region, share the same culture and practice the same religion. However, the people from CHT have developed a distinctive identity and are individualized by a different name “Marma”. This development raises a number of historical questions. This paper explores how theArakanese descendants became “Marma” in Bangladesh."

"Kehadiran Korean Wave menjadi titik kebangkitan Korea Selatan di kancah internasional. Setelah keluar dari keterpurukan, Korea Selatan menjadikan Korean Wave ini sebagai produk kebangsaan yang terus dipupuk. Salah satu bentuk Korean Wave di bidang musik adalah BTS, yang kini dijadikan sebagai salah satu alat diplomasi publik Korea Selatan. Oleh karena itu, rumusan masalah yang diangkat adalah mengkaji pengaruh Korean Wave melalui BTS terhadap ekonomi, citra negara dan sosial-budaya Korea Selatan. Argumentasi penulis ialah menunjukkan bahwa sebagai alat diplomasi publik Korea Selatan di kancah global, BTS telah memberikan pengaruh yang besar terhadap sektor ekonomi, citra negara dan sosial budaya. Dalam menjalankan analisa tersebut, dilakukan telaah literatur terhadap 20 jurnal yang turut membahas topik yang berkaitan dengan BTS sebagai diplomasi publik. Di antara 20 jurnal ilmiah tersebut, jurnal selanjutnya diklasifikasi berdasarkan setiap sektor yang mendapatkan pengaruh dari BTS, yakni ekonomi, citra negara dan sosial budaya. Telaah literatur ini menghasilkan sejumlah konsensus dan perdebatan bahwasanya di balik BTS sebagai diplomasi publik yang memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap perkembangan Korea Selatan di sektor ekonomi, citra negara dan sosial-budaya, kenyataannya BTS belum mampu berdiri sendiri secara mandiri dalam melakukan hal tersebut. Terdapat dukungan beberapa lembaga pemerintah yang menekankan pada advokasi dan pengembangan budaya dan praktik BTS.

The presence of the Korean Wave became the point of South Korea's rise on the international stage. After emerging from adversity, South Korea made the Korean Wave a national product that continues to be cultivated. One form of the Korean Wave in the music sector is BTS, which is now used as a tool of South Korean public diplomacy. Therefore, the problem formulation raised is to examine the influence of the Korean Wave through BTS on the economy, state image and socio-culture of South Korea. The author's argument is to show that as a tool of South Korean public diplomacy on the global stage, BTS has had a major influence on the economic sector, the country's image and social culture. In carrying out this analysis, a literature review was carried out on 20 journals which also discussed topics related to BTS as public diplomacy. Among the 20 scientific journals, journals are further classified based on each sector that is influenced by BTS, namely economics, country image and social culture. This literature review produces a number of consensus and debates that behind BTS as public diplomacy which has had a significant influence on South Korea's development in the economic sector, state image and socio-culture, in reality BTS has not been able to stand independently in doing this. There is support from several government agencies that emphasize advocacy and development of BTS culture and practices."

"Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bagaimana citra destinasi memediasi hubungan antara citra negara dan niat berkunjung. Penelitian ini mengumpulkan 270 responden dengan kriteria usia antara 19 hingga 60 tahun, berkebangsaan Korea Selatan, dan berdomisili di Korea Selatan. Data penelitian ini dianalisis dalam Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) menggunakan software AMOS 26. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa citra negara berpengaruh positif terhadap citra destinasi, namun tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap niat berkunjung dan citra destinasi berpengaruh positif terhadap niat berkunjung. Selain itu, citra destinasi fully memediasi hubungan antara citra negara dan niat berkunjung. Studi ini akan memberikan kontribusi kepada pemasar yang bekerja di industri terkait pariwisata Indonesia untuk membuat strategi pemasaran pariwisata yang lebih efektif untuk menarik lebih banyak wisatawan Korea Selatan untuk berkunjung ke Indonesia.

The purpose of this study is to understand how the destination image mediates the relationship between the country image and intention to visit. This research collected 270 respondents with the age criteria between 19 to 60 years old, South Korean nationals, and living in South Korea. The data of this research were analyzed in Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using AMOS 26 software. The result of this study shows that country image positively influenced the destination image but did not positively influenced the intention to visit and the destination image positively influenced the intention to visit. Moreover, the destination image fully mediated the relationship between the country image and intention to visit. This study will contribute to marketers who are working in Indonesian tourism related industries to make more effective tourism marketing strategy to attract more South Korean tourists to visit the country."
