ABSTRAKPerkembangan industri media massa khususnya industri film membuat film menjadi komoditas bisnis yang erat kaitannya dengan kegiatan ekonomi. Dalam menyikapi fenomena tersebut, film Silariang: Cinta yang (Tak) Direstui yang merupakan film panjang bioskop berbahasa daerah melakukan upaya untuk meraih profit sebesar-besarnya dengan cara menerapkan marketing public relations dengan memasarkan filmnya kepada masyarakat. Penerapan marketing public relation yang dilakukan oleh film Silariang: Cinta yang (Tak) Direstui menggunakan beberapa tools marketing public relations yaitu publikasi, identitas media, event, dan berita. Penggunaan tools marketing public relations pada film Silariang: Cinta yang (Tak) Direstui dapat meningkatkan awareness sehingga menarik masyarakat untuk menonton dan berdampak pada meningkatnya jumlah penjualan tiket film tersebut.
ABSTRACTThe development of the mass media industry, especially the film industry makes film a business commodity that is closely related to economic activities. In addressing this phenomenon, the film Silariang: Cinta yang (Tak) Direstui which is regional language film made an effort to achieve the maximum profit by implementing marketing public relations by marketing the film to the public. The application of marketing public relations carried out by the film Silariang: Cinta yang (Tak) Direstui uses several marketing public relations tools, namely publication, media identity, events, and news. The use of marketing public relations tools in the film Silariang: Cinta yang (Tak) Direstui can increase awareness so that it attracts the public to watch and has an impact on increasing the number of ticket sales for the film."
