"Tata Letak merupakan salah satu aspek penting pada kelangsungan proses produksi suatu pabrik sehingga perlu perencanaan yang baik dalam penyusunan tata letak. Salah satu metode dalam penyusunan tata letak pabrik adalah Systematic Layout Planning. Area produksi paper packaging pada PT. Gramedia Cikarang yang terpisah-pisah membuat jarak pemindahan bahan menjadi panjang sehingga output tidak optimal. Hal itu sangat merugikan perusahaan mengingat produk paper packaging yang permintaannya terus meningkat dan memiliki prospek yang baik dimasa yang akan datang. Sebagai tindakan mengatasi hal tersebut, dan antisipasi permintaan yang meningkat, pihak perusahaan berencana untuk memusatkan area produksi paper packaging menjadi satu area sehingga produk paper packaging ini memiliki plant produksi sendiri. Pembangunan area produksi paper packaging ini tentunya membutuhkan perencanaan tata letak yang baik agar menghasilkan sistem produksi yang lebih efektif dan efisien. Dalam penelitian ini dibandingkan 3 layout, yaitu layout saat ini, layout usulan perusahaan dan layout usulan hasil penelitian. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa layout usulan hasil penelitian memiliki jarak perpindahan bahan yang lebih pendek dibandingkan dengan layout saat ini dan alternatif layout usulan perusahaan.

Layout is one important aspect of the continuity of the production process of a plant that needs good planning. One method in the design of plant layout is Systematic Layout Planning. The production area of paper packaging was separated, and it make the distance of a transfer material was long so that the output is not optimal. It was a disadvantages for the company while the demand is keep increase and this product have a good prospect in the future. To fix this problem, the company planning to make a new plant for this product so that the paper packaging have its own plant. To build a new plant needs a good planning in the layout design so that the production system become more effective and efficient. This study compared 3 layout, which is current layout, alternative layout for a new paper packaging plant from the company, and alternative layout based on study. The result showed that the alternative layout from this study have a shorter material transfer's distance than the current layout and the alternative layout from the company."

"PT. XYZ merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang farmasi di Indonesia. Area produksi perusahaan ini terdiri dari dua bagian, yaitu Black Area dan Grey Area (Secondary Packaging). Terdapat empat jenis pengemasan pada area secondary packaging. Setiap jenis kemasan menggunakan proses yang berbeda-beda, tetapi ada juga beberapa proses yang dipakai oleh semua jenis kemasan. Berdasarkan pengamatan, tata letak area produksi secondary packaging atau grey area PT. XYZ dirasa masih kurang baik karena jarak perpindahan material yang masih cukup panjang dan terdapat beberapa proses dari kemasan yang sejenis yang belum berdekatan sehingga kurang mendukung kelancaran proses produksi.
Penelitian ini betujuan untuk memperoleh rancangan ulang tata letak pada area tersebut dengan metode CORELAP. Data berupa nama proses, urutan proses, dan hubungan antar proses diolah menjadi ARC yang selanjutnya diolah untuk mendapat nilai TCR masing-masing proses untuk diiterasi dengan metode CORELAP. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh bahwa tata letak usulan hasil perhitungan metode CORELAP memiliki jarak perpindahan material yang lebih pendek 9,017% dibanding tata letak saat ini dan proses dari pengemasan yang sejenis posisinya menjadi lebih berdekatan dan lebih teratur.

PT. XYZ is a pharmaceutical company in Indonesia. The company's production area is composed of two parts, namely Black Area and Grey Area Area (Secondary Packaging). There are four types of packaging in the area of secondary packaging. Each type of packaging uses different processes, but there are also some processes that is used by all types of packaging. Based on the observations, the layout of the production area of secondary packaging of PT. XYZ is still not optimal because the material handling distance is still quite long and there are some similar process of same packaging type that is not adjacent, so that the production process is less smooth.
This study aims to obtain redesign the layout in the area with CORELAP method. Data such as the name of the process, the order process, and the relationship between process processed into ARC, subsequently processed to obtain TCR values for each process to iterated with CORELAP method. From the calculations, the proposed layout has a material handling distance is shorter 9.017% compared to the current layout and also the process of same type packaging become more adjacent.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat usulan rancangan tata letak area produksi yang optimal dari segi pemindahan material. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode systematic layout planning yang dikembangkan oleh Richard Muther. Area produksi di PT. UTPE terbagi atas area persiapan bahan, area fabrikasi, area pengecatan, dan area perakitan. Penelitian ini merupakan bagian dari proyek perusahaan dalam rangka mengintegrasikan dua pabrik yang berlokasi di Cikarang dan Cakung ke dalam satu pabrik yang berlokasi di Cikarang dengan area yang diperluas. Demikian pula dengan area produksi, peusahaan akan membangun bangunan pabrik baru untuk memenuhi permintaan dari kedua pabrik. Sistem pengumpulan data yang dipakai adalah observasi langsung ke lapangan dan menggunakan data yang ada di database perusahaan. Rancangan tata letak dibuat berdasarkan intensitas perpindahan material yang terjadi antara departemen yang terdapat di area produksi dalam bentuk activity relationship chart dan activity relationship diagram. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa rancangan tata letak pabrik dalam format CAD.

The focus of this study is how to design the most optimal production layout in terms of material handling. The methods used in this research is systematic layout planning which was first introduced by Richard Muther. The production area in PT. UTPE is grouped into material preparation department, fabrication department, painting and blasting department, and assembly department. This study is a part of the company's project to integrate their two plans located in Cikarang and Cakung into one plan located in extended area of Cikarang plant. Thus the company needs a layout planning. A new plant will be established in accordance to this project. The method that is applied in this data collection is direct measuring and collecting existing data in the company's database. Design of the new layout is based on the intensity of material flow in terms of material weight that moves among the departments in the production area. The outcome of this research is a layout planning in CAD file."

"Sebagai obyek penelitian PT. Frina Lestari Nusantara adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi asesoris mobil dengan bahan dasar polymer. Permasalahan yang muncul saat ini adalah terbatasnya area proses produksi yang semakin sempit dikarenakan peningkatan produksi tanpa menyesuaikan dengan kapasitas area yang ada, peningkatan reject ratio painting yang mencapai lebih dari 20% dalam kurun waktu 5 tahun terakhir serta penempatan area proses yang kurang teratur sehingga terlalu jauh dari alur proses yang ada dan penggunaan satu area untuk dua proses penting yaitu assembling dan packaging sehingga menghambat waktu proses dan pergerakan orang. Perancangan tata letak ini akan menggunakan pendekatan dengan metode systematic layout planning.
Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah perlu dilakukan penataan ulang terhadap tata letak pabrik yang ada saat ini, yaitu dengan diselesaikan masalah yang ada terutama dari kapasitas area produksi, kelancaran aliran material & proses, serta penurunan reject ratio painting yang mencapai 10%. Sedangkan metode yang ada digunakan sebagai pendekatan dalam perancangan layout shingga penelitian dapat berjalan dengan terstruktur dan terarah.

As an object research, Frina Lestari Nusantara is a manufacture company which make accessories for car with polymer specialist. Problem that was appear there are limited of production area which more tight because there was limited space capacity for increase product, increase of reject ratio painting more than 20% in this 5 years ago and wrong placement for product on process which so far away from production area than using one area for assy coincide with packaging process, so this process will constrain time and people movement. The design of this layout will use the approach with the method of systematic layout planning.
The conclusion of this study is necessary rearrangement of existing plant layout in this time, namely to resolved issues primarily from the capacity of existing production areas, the smooth flow of materials and processes, as well as painting a decrease in reject ratio reached 10%. "Penelitian dilakukan di UMKM Kerupuk Kulit yang terletak di Pancoran, Jakarta Selatan. Saat ini, kuantitas kerupuk kulit yang diproduksi terkadang tidak cukup. Akar masalahnya adalah material handling masih manual, pengaturan layout yang kurang baik, adanya keterbatasan biaya, cuaca tidak menentu, dan kurang ketersediaan tenaga kerja. Material handling yang kurang baik menyebabkan durasi produksi lama, pekerja kurang aman dan nyaman, dan material handling cost tinggi. Permasalahan yang sudah disebutkan dapat diselesaikan dengan melakukan perbaikan layout dan material handling. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah menganalisis permasalahan layout existing, mendapatkan perbaikan layout, dan membandingkan kondisi layout existing dan layout proposed. Metode yang digunakan untuk memperbaiki layout adalah systematic layout planning (SLP). Hasil penelitian adalah material handling cost berkurang sebesar Rp256,754.99 atau 67.8%, kapasitas sebesar 17.77 kg per minggunya dapat mengatasi kekurangan stok, dan durasi material handling berkurang 28.95 menit per harinya atau berkurang 69.19%.

The research was conducted at the MSMEs Skin Crackers located in Pancoran, South Jakarta. Currently, the quantity of skin crackers produced is sometimes not enough. The root causes of the problem are manual material handling, inefficient layout, cost limitations, unpredictable weather, and lack of labor availability. Improper material handling causes long production duration, unsafe and uncomfortable workers, and high material handling costs. The problems that have been mentioned can be solved by improving the layout and material handling. The purpose of the research is to analyze the existing layout problems, to have a layout improvement, and to compare the existing layout and proposed layout. The method used to improve the layout is systematic layout planning (SLP). The results of the study are material handling costs reduced by Rp256,754.99 or 67.8%, by increasing capacity by 17.77 kg per week can solve stock shortages, and the duration of material handling is reduced by 28.95 minutes per day or 69.19%."

"Peningkatan penjualan perhiasan emas ditambah dukungan dari pemerintah terutama Kementerian Perindustrian Republik Indonesia membuat para produsen perhiasan emas lebih percaya untuk mengembangkan bisnis mereka. Salah satu produsen yang ada di Indonesia adalah PT X. PT X berencana untuk mengembangkan bisnis mereka dan membuat fasilitas baru untuk keberlangsungan pengembangan tersebut. Oleh karena itu, PT X membutuhkan sebuah tata letak yang efisien serta mampu menunjang perkembangan bisnis di masa depan untuk lantai produksi fasilitas baru mereka. Penelitian ini menjawab kebutuhan PT X tersebut dengan menghasilkan ukuran dan lokasi dari departemen pada lantai produksi fasilitas baru mereka. Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk menciptakan tata letak yang dimaksud adalah multi-floor facility layout problem sebagai salah satu sub masalah dari facility layout problem. Tata letak yang dihasilkan sudah efisien dengan memperoleh total jarak antar departemen yang berhubungan sebesar 1171,66 dan Nilai Solusi sebesar 1916,69. Penelitian ini juga memberikan tata letak alternatif yang siap menunjang perkembangan bisnis di masa depan
The increase in gold jewelry's revenue and the government's support, especially the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, make gold jewelry producers more confident in developing their businesses. One of the gold jewelry producers in Indonesia is PT X. PT X planned to expand their businesses and build a new facility for that development's continuity. Because of that, PT X needs an efficient layout that also supports their business development in the future for the production floor of their new facility. This research answered PT X's demand by resulting in the dimension and location of departments on their new production floor. The approach used to build that mentioned layout is the Multi-floor Facility Layout Problem as one of the subproblems of Facility Layout Problem. The generated layout is already efficient by obtaining the sum of corresponded departments' distance in the amount of 1171.66 and Solution Value in the amount of 1916.66. This research also gives an alternative layout ready to support future business expansion."

"Tesis ini membahas tentang aplikasi dari metode penyusunan tata letak Systematic Layout Planning dan kemudian dievaluasi dengan Discrete Event Simulation menggunakan perangkat lunak Tecnomatix Plant Simulation untuk memberikan aternatif tata letak mesin pabrik yang lebih sesuai dengan produk yang ada di industri komponen alat berat saat ini dan lebih efisien dari sisi jarak perpindahan barang, waktu perpindahan barang, dan jumlah hasil produksi.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi Systematic Layout Planning dan Discrete Event Simulation dapat memperpendek jarak perpindahan produk sebesar 32% setahun, mempercepat waktu perpindahan produk sebesar 27% setahun, dan meningkatkan jumlah hasil produksi sebesar 6% setahun.

This study is about application of layout planning method the Systematic Layout Planning and then evaluated by Discrete Event Simulation method using software Tecnomatix Plant Simulation for getting more suitable machine layout to existing product in component industry of heavy equipment, and getting better efficiency on product moving distance, product moving time, and total product quantity.
Study result shows that application of Systematic Layout Planning and Discrete Event Simulation could shortening product moving distance by 32% a year, shortening product moving time by 27% a year, and increasing total product quantity by 6% a year.

"[PT PZ Cussons adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dalam industri kebutuhan balita, yang memproduksi perawatan kulit untuk balita. Masalah yang dihadapi oleh PT PZ cussons saat ini adalah ketidakteraturan dalam persiapan bahan baku, maka akan menghambat waktu proses pengiriman ke bagian produksi, beberapa lorong ukuran yang tidak sesuai dengan ukuran material handling sehingga sulit bagi karyawan dalam proses pembuatan produk jadi di gudang. Kondisi lain yang juga hadir dalam penempatan produk di daerah yang kurang tepat, di mana barang harus memiliki frekuensi tertinggi pengiriman dan yang sering datang dan pergi dalam terus ke pintu keluar. Hal-hal seperti ini yang sering menyebabkan penanganan yan lebih lanjut dalah material handing dan kurang efektif dalam kegiatan penyimpanan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan tata letak penyimpanan rak bahan baku untuk gudang baru yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan ruang penyimpanan dan kebutuhan ruang sehingga material handling menjadi lebih efektif. Things like this often lead to further handling is that material handing and less effective in storage activities. The aim of this study is to provide a storage rack layout of raw materials for the new warehouse in accordance with the needs of storage space and material handling needs so that the space becomes more effective. The method used in shared storage storage is an approach in which products have the highest frequency of delivery and often out of bringing it closer to the entrance to minimize the displacement distance of material handling. research done on the layout of the proposed generating material handling mileage new warehouse is at 8007 m.
