"ABSTRAKTesis ini adalah pembahasan sebuah model proyek lokal-pinggiran yang bersifat global yang mendialogkan dan mempertahankan identitas lokal dalam kerangka kerja nasional dan/atau global. Secara spesifik, tesis ini bicara soal komunitas seni di padepokan Tjipta Boedaja, Gunung Merapi, Dusun Tutup Ngisor, Muntilan dan bagaimana cara mereka beradaptasi serta memproduksi seni dari tahun 1937 hingga sekarang dengan memakai sudut pandang globalisme dalam antropologi. Untuk menjawab hal itu tesis ini menghubungkan persepsi identitas partikularitas dalam pertemuannya dan permainannya (dolan) dengan imajinasi global dan proyek-proyek apa saja yang hadir untuk melestarikan identitas lokal tersebut dalam konteks petani gunung di Jawa.

ABSTRACTThis thesis discussed a model of local-marginal project, which communicates and develops local identities in national and/or global framework. Specifically, the thesis explained how a peasant art community in Padepokan Seni Tjipta Boedaja, mount Merapi, Tutup Ngisor Village, Muntilan Central Java, adapt and produce their performing arts from 1937 until today. It connects particular perception on identity and the playful (dolan) interaction with what imagined as global and also the projects in maintaining the local identity in a Highland Javanese peasant context."

Selain itu , hal tersebut mengubah pola perdagangan periode sebelum perang dunia I .Globalisasi telah dilihat oleh beberapa pihak sebagai yang sangat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat karena sudah membantu mereka secara budaya serta ilmu dan telah menjadi sumber baik dari pertumbuhan ekonomi.

Globalization is an aspect of the human society that has moulded this world to become a global village. It is an aspect that is characterized by the increased exchange of capital, trade as well as knowledge between people and this has been greatly attributed to the high advancement in technology mostly in the communication and transport sectors of the economy. However, the current status of globalization has been as a result of gradual changes that have occurred through history to shape structures and institutions that have resulted to the development as it is. The effect of high advancement on technology gave significant positive impact on the term of mass quantity production and transportation efficiency. Furthermore, it changes the pattern of trade before the period of World War I. Globalisation has been seen by some as a very beneficial to society by the fact that it has helped enrich people?s culture as well as science and has been a good source of economic benefits."
