"Even skilled sales people buckle in tough selling situations - getting defensive with prospects who challenge them on price or too quickly caving to discount pressure. Those are examples the fight-or-flight response - something sales people learn to avoid when they build their emotional intelligence. Studies have shown that emotional intelligence (EI) is a strong indicator of success. In "Emotional Intelligence for Sales Success", sales trainer and expert Colleen Stanley shows how closely EI is tied to sales performance and how sales people can sharpen their skills to maximize results. Readers will discover: how to increase impulse control for better questioning and listening; the EI skills related to likability and trust; how empathy leads to bigger sales conversations and more effective solutions; how emotional intelligence can improve prospecting efforts; the EI skills shared by top sales producers; and much more. Emotional intelligence plays a vital role at every stage of the sales process, from business development to closing the deal."

This study aims to identify the influence between creative activity through drawing towards affect in two different experiences of negative emotion. This study induced the emotion of 120 participants in two conditions sadness or anger, and then asks them to draw experiment group or do a Word Search puzzle control group . Positive and negative affect was measured before and after the treatment. The results of the study show that creative activity significantly influence positive affect and doesn rsquo t influence negative affect. This study also found that preference level and drawing frequency doesn 39 t influence affect. This shows that creative activity influences affect despite of whether one likes to draw or often draws. Suggestion for further reseach is to consider a moderator variable, such as expectancies for negative emotion regulation."

"Emotional Intelligence (EI) has become a topic of vast and growing interest worldwide and is concerned with the ways in which we perceive, identify, understand, and manage emotions. It is an aspect of individual difference that can impact a number of important outcomes throughout a person's lifespan. Yet, until now there were no authoritative books that bridge the gap between scholarly articles on the subject, often published in obscure professional journals, and the kind of books found in the pop-psych sections of most large bookstores. This book fills that gap, addressing the key issues from birth through to old age, including the impact of EI on child development, social relationships, the workplace, and health. It is a useful introduction to the academic study of EI, including its history as a concept."
