"Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia memiliki peran yang besar dalam upaya pembangunan kesehatan yakni melalui perumusan, penetapan, dan pelaksanaan kebijakan di bidang kesehatan. Direktorat Jenderal Bina Kefarmasian dan Alat Kesehatan merupakan salah satu Direktorat Jenderal di bawah Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia yang membawahi Direktorat Bina Pelayanan Kefarmasian yang berperan dalam upaya peningkatan pelayanan kefarmasian yang terdiri atas Subdirektorat Farmasi Klinik, Farmasi Komunitas, Penggunaan Obat rasional dan Standardisasi. Pelayanan kefarmasian yang ideal dan merata di seluruh wilayah Indonesia perlu didukung dengan adanya suatu standar dan kebijakan yang merupakan peran dari Ditjen Binfar Alkes serta dukungan dari pelaksana pelayanan kefarmasian. Kegiatan PKPA dilaksanakan pada tanggal 15 - 26 Juli 2013 dengan tujuan mengetahui dan memahami peran apoteker di Direktorat Jenderal Bina Kefarmasian dan Alat Kesehatan, khususnya di Direktorat Bina Pelayanan Kefarmasian beserta implementasinya. Salah satu implementasi dari kebijakan yang disusun oleh Dirjen Binfar Alkes yaitu evaluasi penggunaan antibiotik secara Defined Daily Dose (DDD) untuk meningkatkan kualitas terapi antibiotik di RSUP Fatmawati yang mengacu pada standard World Health Organization (WHO).

One of the policies in implementation which had drawn up by the Directorate General of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices was the use evaluation of antibiotics in Defined Daily Dose (DDD) to improve the quality of antibiotic therapy in RSUP Fatmawati refered to the World Health Organization (WHO) standard."

Selain itu, diharapkan mahasiswa apoteker dapat mengetahui, mempelajari, dan. Sedangkan tujuan dari tugas khusus adalah membahas salah satu penyakit yang banyak dialami oleh masyarakat kita yaitu hipertensi beserta kondisi klinis hipertensi serta penjelasan yang lebih rinci mengenai langkah-langkah care plan yang harus ditentukan oleh apoteker di sarana pelayanan kesehatan yang bertanggung jawab dalam memberikan informasi yang tepat kepada pasien sehingga dapat meningkatkan keberhasilan dari terapi yang diharapkan.
