"Ceramic nanocomposites have been found to have improved hardness, strength, toughness and creep resistance compared to conventional ceramic matrix composites. Ceramic nanocomposites reviews the structure and properties of these nanocomposites as well as manufacturing and applications. Part one looks at the properties of different ceramic nanocomposites, including thermal shock resistance, flame retardancy, magnetic and optical properties as well as failure mechanisms. Part two deals with the different types of ceramic nanocomposites, including the use of ceramic particles in metal matrix composites, carbon nanotube-reinforced glass-ceramic matrix composites, high temperature superconducting ceramic nanocomposites and ceramic particle nanofluids. Part three details the processing of nanocomposites, including the mechanochemical synthesis of metallic–ceramic composite powders, sintering of ultrafine and nanosized ceramic and metallic particles and the surface treatment of carbon nanotubes using plasma technology. Part four explores the applications of ceramic nanocomposites in such areas as energy production and the biomedical field."

Perkembangan dunia konstruksi dan meningkatnya kebutuhan tempat tinggal mendorong terciptanya teknologi baru di bidang konstruksi, salah satunya adalah beton keraton atau pelat rusuk.Sayangnya, masih sangat terbatas penelitian yang membahas mengenai hal ini, sehingga beton keraton jarang digunakan dalam konstruksi bangunan di Indonesia saat ini.Oleh karena itu, penulis tertarik melakukan penelitian terkait faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pemilihan teknologi beton keraton dibandingkan teknologi konvensional. Data yang digunakan adalah studi kasus proyek PT. Dwitemoro Dengan menggunakan metode Quisioner, interview dan survey lapangan didapat hasil bahwa Metode yang digunakan, harga satuan,waktu siklus dan kebutuhan pekerja merupakan faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi pemilihan teknologi beton keraton daripada teknologi lainnya, untuk tujuan konstruksi

ABSTRACT
Construction field is facing a quite big challenge to create new technologies to cope with rapid growth in this field and also the increasing demand of buildings. One of those technologies is beton keraton or pelat rusuk. Unfortunately there is limited research talking about this technology. So that’s why beton keraton are still rarely used in building construction in Indonesia nowadays. This condition makes writer interested to examine what factors may affect the decision making of using beton keraton more preferably than conventional technologies. Data used here is a case study of PTDwitemoro’s projects. Using Quisioner, Interviewand survey project’s method, unit price, time cycle, needs of worker are the main factors that affect the decision making of using beton keraton more preferably than other technologies for construction purposes."
