"Concrete is a composite building material. Due to its increasing demand in the construction industry, its basic ingredients such as cement, fine aggregate and coarse aggregate have become extremely costly. Studies have been carried out to find better and more economical alternatives to these conventional building materials. One such alternative is fly ash, which can be used to partially replace cement. The main disadvantage of conventional concrete is its brittle failure, which can be avoided by using steel fibers. This study identifies the behavior of concrete with regard to impact resistance and its mechanical properties by adding hooked-end steel fibers at levels of 0, 0.75, 1.15 and 1.55% and partially replacing 40% of the cement with 40% fly ash. In addition to the control concrete, there has been four mixes with respective addition of steel fibers. The behavior of normal and fly ash concrete with steel fibers was compared. The combination of fly ash and steel fibers provided a homogeneous and very rich mix, with a delay in the setting time of the concrete. Of all the mixes, the one containing 40% fly ash and 1.55% steel fibers proved to be the best, with a maximum increase in strength of 17% in compression, 25% in split tension, 30% in flexure and 95% in impact energy at 56 days. A multiple linear regression model was also formulated using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) software, through which corresponding equations were developed to predict the strength and energy at 28 and 56 days. The equations were also used to predict the strength of the mixes from other researchers’ experimental work. The predicted results corresponded well with the experimental results and the percentage difference was found to be less than 5%."

"This work investigates the fresh, mechanical and durability properties of normal, Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) and Smart Dynamic Concrete (SDC), which are a new generation of concrete with a lower amount of cementitious content. SDC is a low-fine, self-compacting concrete, that combines the benefits of normal concrete (stability) and self-compacting concrete (fresh properties). Fresh properties such as slump flow, L-box and V-funnel tests were investigated to evaluate its self-compacting properties. Mechanical properties such as compressive, splitting tensile and flexural strengths were also examined to compare its effectiveness with normal concrete. In addition to the fresh and hardened properties, the rapid chloride permeability test was also conducted to check the durability of normal, SCC and SDC concrete mixtures. The test results of the fresh properties clearly showed that SDC exhibited superior flowability in the slump flow, L-box and V-funnel tests within the limits of EFNARC (The European Federation of Specialist Construction Chemical and Concrete Systems) guidelines. The mechanical properties of SDC attained higher compressive strength, splitting tensile strength and flexural strength compared with the normal and SCC concrete mixtures. The rapid chloride permeability tests result of SDC clearly showed that SDC exhibited similar and better results than that of normal and SCC concrete mixtures."

"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai dampak industri biodiesel terhadap aspek keberlanjutan Indonesia, dimana aspek keberlanjutan yang diukur adalah aspek ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan hidup dan ditambah aspek energy. Model yang dihasilkan berdasar pada model system dinamis terhadap keempat aspek tersebut dimana intervensi Biodiesel dapat terlihat dampaknya.
Dampak dari Industri biodiesel sendiri mampu meningkatkan produksi domestic bruto Indonesia dengan mengakselerasi pertumbuhan sector pertanian. Secara sosial dampak dari industri biodiesel adalah mampu menyerap tenaga kerja sehingga menurunkan angka pengangguran. Dalam kacamata lingkungan hidup, Biodiesel mampu menurunkan intensitas emisi gas rumah kaca per dolar produksi.

This thesis discusses the impact of the biodiesel industry towards sustainability of Indonesia, where the measured aspects of sustainability are economic, social, and environmental with additional energy aspects. Generated model, based on system dynamic model of the four aspects where the effects of Biodiesel Industry can be seen.
The impact of the biodiesel industry alone can increase the gross domestic production of Indonesia by accelerating development of agricultural sector. In social impact, the biodiesel industry is able to absorb the workforce and thus reducing unemployment. Environmental point of view, biodiesel can reduce greenhouse gas emissions intensity per dollar of production.

"Penelitian ini menguji secara empiris perubahan dynamic linkages variabel yield SBN-Domestik, IHSG terhadap shocks yield US Treasury bond, SP500 dan IDR/USD. Analisis menggunakan VECM. Uji IRF, VD dan Granger causality membuktikan bahwa dalam jangka panjang, periode pandemic-covid19 variabel yield SBN-domestik mengalami perubahan hubungan dinamis yang signifikan terhadap semua shock, namun perubahan terbesar terdapat pada yield SBN3Y dan SBN5Y. Hal ini disebabkan karena pada periode pendemic-covid19, SBN3Y dan SBN5Y sebagai SBN tenor pendek dan menengah dianggap lebih berisiko. Perubahan IHSG signifikan terhadap shockSP500 periode pandmeic-covid19. Uji variance decomposition periode pandemic-covid19 membuktikan dalam jangka panjang SP500 mempunyai kontribusi varians tertinggi.

This study empirically examines the dynamic linkages among yield SBN-Domestic and IDX-Composite to the shocks of US Treasury bonds, SP500 and IDR/USD. Analysis applying VECM. IRF, VD and Granger causality tests prove that in the long-run, during the pandemic-covid19 period, the SBN-Domestic experienced a significant change to all shocks, but the biggest changes were on SBN3Y and SBN5Y. This was due to the fact that during the Covid-19 pandemic, SBN3Y and SBN5Y were considered high risk. IDX-Composite was significantly changes for SP500 during pandemic-covid19 period. Variance decomposition test proved that in the long run, SP500 has the highest variance contribution."

"Untuk mempertahankan daya saing di era kompetisi global, adanya sumber daya manusia (SDM) unggul di perusahaan menjadi faktor kunci yang sangat menentukan. Berbeda halnya dengan kualitas produk atau fasilitas fisik, SDM unggulan memiliki kapasitas dan talenta yang tidak mudah ditemukan dan direplikasi. Mayoritas perusahaan diketahui mengalami masalah dengan terus-menerus kehilangan talenta mereka karena berpindah ke tempat lain (turnover), terutama sektor perusahaan jasa profesional. Keadaan ini memaksa perusahaan untuk terus menemukan dan mempertahankan keberadaan talenta terbaik mereka. Studi ini berusaha untuk menjawab strategi apa yang terbaik bagi perusahaan untuk mengendalikan tingkat turnover yang terjadi di perusahaan tersebut. Penelitian ini menghasilkan model sistem dinamis untuk mensimulasikan alternatif strategi pengendalian turnover yang diterapkan perusahaan dalam rangka mengendalikan turnover SDM. Untuk mengantisipasi ketidaksiapan menghadapi tantangan di masa akan datang, disusun empat skenario berbeda dengan pendekatan scenario planning. Dengan mensimulasikan strategi pada berbagai skenario berbeda, perusahaan dapat mengetahui strategi yang efektif serta terhindar dari kerugian yang lebih besar karena menerapkan strategi secara trial and error pada sistem yang sebenarnya. Keluaran penelitian ini diukur dengan indikator penurunan turnover rate serta return on investment pada setiap strategi yang disimulasikan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa belum adanya strategi yang dapat memenuhi ekspektasi capaian dalam setiap skenario, di mana setiap skenario diharapkan dapat membantu pengambil keputusan untuk merumuskan dan memutuskan strategi terbaik yang dipilih dalam rangka mengendalikan tingkat turnover di perusahaan. Implikasi hasil penelitian juga didiskusikan lebih lanjut dalam agar dapat dijadikan salah satu rujukan untuk penelitian-penelitian selanjutnya untuk sektor industri lainnya.

In era of global competition, key talents in organization is one of the determining factors that affect organization excellence. Talents are very different from products or plant facilities, which are hard to replicate especially for their capacity and competence. Many of organizations are facing challenge for retaining their key talents who are doing voluntary turnover. This situation pushes organizations to find effective strategy for finding and retaining their talents. Purpose of this study is trying to discover what are the most effective strategies for managing turnover rate in organization. This research resulted in a simulation model using system dynamics to run a simulation of strategy for reducing turnover rate. In anticipation for uncertainty in the future, this research also deliver four plausible future scenarios using scenario planning approach. Using these different scenarios, organization can simulate their strategies under different circumtances and decide which are the best strategies for organization. System dynamics model in this research using two output indicator to evaluate strategy simulation, annual turnover rate and return on investment. Findings on this research hopefully can help decision maker to formulate and decide best strategies to implement for reducing voluntary turnover rate on their organization."
