"[ABSTRAK
Tulisan ini membahas bagaimana 17 postingan gambar di 9GAG menggambarkan citra iPhone terhadap
kerangka pemikiran dari analitis semiotik, yang dianalisis melalui tanda-tanda dan simbol-simbol dalam gambar.
Gambar-gambar tersebut menjadi sangat populer dan kontroversial di kalangan pengguna 9GAG sejak muncul
dalam halaman 9GAG Hot Thread karena konten yang bersifat satir dan representatif. Tulisan ini akan
menunjukkan bahwa gambar-gambar tersebut adalah media bagi pengguna 9GAG untuk menyampaikan
pemikiran mereka tentang iPhone. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana citra
merek digambarkan dalam postingan 9GAG untuk melawan pendapat umum bahwa gambar-gambar tersebut
hanya berfungsi sebagai lelucon gambar. Untuk menganalisis masalah ini, pendekatan utama yang digunakan
adalah teori semiotik Charles Sander Peirce tentang tanda-tanda dan simbol-simbol yang digunakan untuk
meneliti citra rapuh iPhone, penggambaran fitur dan spesifikasi iPhone, dan citra "eksklusif" pada iPhone.
Sebagai kesimpulan, analisis menunjukkan citra negatif mengenai beberapa kritik terhadap merek iPhone.

This paper examines how 17 pictures posts in 9gag represent1 iPhone?s images by using semiotic analytical
frameworks through the signs and the symbols in the pictures. The pictures have been very popular and
controversial among 9gaggers due to their satire2 and representative content. This paper will show that the
pictures are 9gaggers? medium to deliver their idea about iPhone. Thus, the research aims at determining how
brand images are represented in 9gag posts in order to counter the general belief that the pictures only serve as a
joke. To analyse the issue, the major approach used is Charles Sander Peirce?s semiotical theories on signs and
symbols, which is used to scrutinise the iPhone fragility image, iPhone features and specifications image, and
iPhone ?exclusive? image. As a conclusion, the analysis shows the negative images regarding some critiques

"Tesis ini bertujuan mengungkap praktek diskursus mengenai feminisme dalam internet, dengan meneliti internet meme, spesifiknya jenis image macro, di situs
meme repository 9GAG. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif terhadap teks meme dengan analisis multimodal dan analisis wacana Teun A. van Dijk. Sampel
data adalah subkategori meme yang secara konsisten menampilkan ide feminisme dalam tiap kemunculannya dan pernah muncul di 9GAG. Hasil peneltian menunjukkan bahwa diskursus feminisme tampil secara beragam sebagian merefleksikan diskursus humor yang merupakan diskursus utama 9GAG, sebagian lain tidak merefleksikan humor atau menampilkan humor dengan cara yang berbeda. Aktor-aktor sosial di balik meme yang diteliti juga beragam; sebagian dapat ditelusuri karena identitasnya tercatat dengan lengkap di internet, sebagian lain hanya bisa diduga berdasarkan karakteristik tertentu seperti penggunaan humor, posisi mengenai feminisme dan ketimpangan akses internet berdasar jenis kelamin. Ruang-ruang internet tempat meme yang membawa diskursus feminisme menyebar mengharuskan diskursus feminisme mengikuti diskursus humor yang sudah lebih dahulu berkuasa jika tidak mereka akan terpinggirkan dan hanya bisa mempertahankan status quo di situs orisinal mereka jika ada.

The thesis attempts to reveal discursive practices involved in construcing discourses on feminism in the internet. The research takes multiple subcategory of memes, that fall into image macro types, available on 9GAG. This is a qualitative research on
text and visual of memes, with analysis conducted using multimodal analysis and Teun A. van Dijk?s discourse analysis framework. Selected subcategories are the ones that consistently present ideas on feminism, and is available to access on 9GAG at least once. The result shows that discourse on feminism are various some reflects the humorous nature of 9GAG while others don?t or uses humor in a different direction than the ones found on 9GAG. Social actors are also different several are readily identifiable through the internet, while others are describable only based on several characteristics like the use of humor, stance on feminism and access gap of internet based on gender and sex difference. Social spaces where memes spread also require the memes to conform to preexisting discourse if they want to thrive in it; otherwise they will simply froze in an obscure corner of the space, while only barely maintaining the status quo of their original sites.

Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan studi observasi literatur, penulis mencoba mengaitkan perilaku ramaja dalam menggunakan Situs 9gag melalui teori uses and gratification. Penulisan ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk melihat bagaimana seorang remaja melalui proses gratification sought dan gratification obtain setelah menggunakakan situs 9gag.

Teenagers nowadays are very susceptible about the existence of new media that is 9gag, a social media where their main content are memes. Using a qualitative method, with a literature observational focus, the writer tries to relate the behavior of teenagers that uses 9gag with uses and gratification theory. This paper is writen for the purpose of seeing how a teenager went through a process of gratification sought and gratification obtain after using 9gag website.

iPhone merupakan perusahaan internasional yang memiliki gerai toko di banyak negara, termasuk di Jerman. Pasar yang ditargetkan oleh iPhone adalah kalangan menengah ke atas. Dalam memasarkan produknya tersebut, iPhone menggunakan iklan sebagai media promosi. Untuk menarik konsumen, iklan harus dibuat semenarik mungkin. Salah satunya dengan melihat skema pembicaraan dan alat retorika yang dipakai dalam iklan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan skema pembicaraan serta alat-alat retorika dalam iklan iPhone berbahasa Jerman. Metode kualitatif yang bersumber pada kajian pustaka digunakan untuk menganalisis sepuluh iklan iPhone yang menjadi korpus data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, tidak semua skema pembicaraan dan alat retorika dipakai dalam iklan berbahasa Jerman.

Lao She adalah seorang penulis Cina yang memiliki gaya bahasa humor tersendiri dalam karyanya. Makalah ini akan mengkaji bagaimana Lao She menggambarkan gaya bahasa humornya dalam cerpen Linjumen. Dan juga menjelaskan pesan yang ingin disampaikan Lao She dengan gaya penulisannya tersebut.

"Segmentasi semantik adalah sebuah task pada bidang computer vision yang dewasa ini menjadi semakin penting. Segmentasi semantik sendiri dapat dipakai untuk memisahkan satu benda dengan benda yang lainnya, baik pada dua dimensi maupun tiga dimensi. Segmentasi semantik tiga dimensi umumnya mengutilisasikan sebuah point cloud yang dapat diambil menggunakan sensor Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR). Sejak 2020, Apple menyertakan sensor LIDAR pada beberapa model iPhone. Hal tersebut memungkinkan orang awam untuk merekonstruksi berbagai objek dan keadaan di sekitarnya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat dirumuskan sebuah aplikasi yang dapat membantu penggunanya untuk melakukan scan terhadap benda rumah tangga untuk mengetahui panjang, lebar, tinggi, dan volume melalui kombinasi dari segmentasi semantik dan beberapa metode lainnya. Dibandingkan juga performa beberapa model yang menjadi kandidat integrasi dengan aplikasi tersebut, yaitu Dynamic Graph Convolutional Neural Network (DGCNN), Kernel Point Convolutional Neural Network (KPConv), Point Transformer, dan Point Transformer dengan Contrast Boundary Learning (CBL). Hasil pengujian menujukkan bahwa Point Transformer dengan CBL memiliki Intersection over Union yang paling baik. Didapatkan juga bahwa DGCNN adalah model yang paling baik untuk diimplementasikan sepenuhnya pada iPhone untuk edge computing.

Semantic segmentation is a computer vision task that has become increasingly important in recent years. Semantic segmentation can be utilized to separate one object from another in a two dimensional or three dimensional environment. Semantic segmentation normally utilizes a point cloud that can be obtained using a Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) sensor. As of 2020, Apple has packaged a built-in LIDAR sensor on a few iPhone models. This allows everyday users to reconstruct all sorts of objects around them. Owing to that
fact, there can be formulized an application that helps its users to find the length, width, height, and volume of an object through a combination of semantic segmentation along with a few other methods. We also compared the performance of different models as candidates to be integrated into the application, which are Dynamic Graph Convolutional Neural Network (DGCNN), Kernel Point Convolutional Neural Network (KPConv), Point Transformer, and Point Transformer with Contrast Boundary Learning (CBL). We found that Point Transformer with CBL has the best Intersection over Union result. We also found that DGCNN is the best model to be fully implemented on an iPhone for edge computing.

"ABSTRAK
Studi terdahulu belum banyak yang memaparkan bagaimana proses seksualitas
direproduksi lewat dunia maya walaupun internet menjadi sarana baru dalam
mengekspresikan seksualitas. Internet berperan penting dalam mengubah interasi
antaraindividu dan membawa dinamika dalam seksualitas perempuan. Penelitian
ini memaparkan reproduksi seksualitas perempuan di situs 9GAG. 9GAG
memiliki forum NSFW yang berisi gambar perempuan seksi dan meme yang
bersifat seksis. Penelitian ini membahas bagimana seksualitas perempuan
direproduksi dalam unggahan NSFW agar lebih dapat memahami dinamika dunia
maya yang bekerja secara spesifik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode
wawancara mendalam dan analisis unggahan gambar NSFW dan meme berbau
seksis. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa internet tidak membawa pengaruh
berarti terhadap seksualitas perempuan yang kaku. Internet mengadopsi nilai dan
norma yang ada di masyarakat dan tidak membawa banyak perubahan terhadap
liberasi seksual perempuan.

ABSTRACT
The preceding studies have not much to explain how the process of sexuality is
reproduced through cyberspace even though the Internet became a new tool of
expressing sexuality. Internet plays an important role in changing the interaction
between the individual and bring dynamism in female sexuality. This study
describes the reproductive female sexuality in 9GAG site. 9GAG has NSFW
forum that contains pictures of sexy women and sexist meme. This study
discusses how women's sexuality that NSFW has been reproduced to better
understand the dynamics of the virtual world that works specifically. This study
uses in-depth interviews and analysis of NSFW images and sexist meme. This
study shows that the Internet does not carry any influences against starched
female sexuality. Internet adopts the values and norms that exist in society and
does not bring much change to the sexual liberation of women."

"Penelitian ini membahas humor dalam meme internet @9gag di Instagram sebagai kritik terhadap guru dan murid dan menggunakan pendekatan Kajian Wacana Multimodal dan Pragmatik. Dalam sudut pandang wacana multimodal, meme internet yang terdiri atas moda verbal dan moda visual berperan penting dalam merepresentasikan makna baik secara mandiri maupun terintegrasi. Dalam sudut pandang pragmatik, ujaran dan gambar dalam meme internet tidak hanya berupaya menghibur pembaca melalui pesan humor, tetapi juga berupaya menyampaikan pesan kritik terhadap suatu peristiwa di dunia. Meme internet yang digunakan sebagai data penelitian ini diperoleh dari akun @9gag di Instagram. Ruang lingkup penelitian ini meliputi meme internet berbahasa Inggris yang berkaitan dengan interaksi sosial antara guru dan murid dalam kegiatan belajar di sekolah. Adapun kata kunci yang menjadi dasar pemilihan meme internet ini sebagai data penelitian adalah adanya kata teacher di  dalam caption. Meme internet ini mengandung ide-ide tertentu guna membangun makna ideasional dan memuat kritikan terhadap guru dan murid di balik humor multimodal. Guna mengungkap makna ideasional dan pesan kritik tersebut, ada tiga submasalah dalam penelitian ini: 1) bagaimana interaksi guru dan murid direpresentasikan oleh moda verbal dan visual dalam meme internet @9gag di Instagram?; 2) bagaimana moda verbal dan visual dalam meme internet @9gag saling berinteraksi guna mengungkap topik peristiwa?; dan 3) bagaimana humor dalam meme internet @9gag relevan digunakan sebagai bentuk kritik terhadap guru dan murid? Penelitian ini menggunakan lima teori guna menjawab pertanyan-pertanyaan tersebut, yaitu 1) konteks wacana (Cutting, 2008) untuk memperoleh pengetahuan baik di dalam dan di luar wacana; 2) sistem transitivitas (Halliday & Matthiessen, 2014) untuk menganalisis moda verbal; 3) komponen representasi (Kress & Van Leeuwen, 2006) untuk menganalisis moda visual; 4) hubungan logis intersemiotik (Liu & OHalloran, 2009) untuk menganalisis hubungan logis antara moda verbal dan visual; dan 5) relevansi (Sperber & Wilson, 1995) untuk menganalisis relevansi bahwa humor dalam meme internet ini relevan digunakan sebagai kritik terhadap guru dan murid. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkap proses-proses verbal dan visual yang merepresentasikan interaksi guru dan murid, hubungan logis antara caption dan gambar, topik-topik peristiwa, dan permasalahan yang muncul pada murid dan guru sebagai pesan kritik di balik humor. 

This study discussed humor in @9gags internet meme on Instagram as criticism to teachers and students and applied multimodal discourse and pragmatic approach. In the viewpoint of multimodal discourse, internet memes consisting of verbal modes and visual modes play an important role in representing meaning both independently and integrated. In pragmatic perspective, the utterances and images in internet memes are not only used to entertain the reader through humorous messages, but also used to convey critical message of any event in the world. The internet memes used as data in this research were obtained from the @9gag account on Instagram. The scope of this research includes English-language Internet memes related to social interactions between teachers and students in teaching and learning activities in schools. The keyword of choosing these internet memes as research data are the word teacher in the caption. The internet meme contained certain ideas to build ideational meaning and criticism to teachers and students behind multimodal humor. To reveal the ideational meaning and critical message, there are three subproblems in this study: 1) how are teacher and student interactions represented by verbal and visual modes in the @9gags internet memes  on Instagram ; 2) how do the verbal and visual modes in the @9gags internet memes interact to reveal the topic of the event?; and 3) how is the humor in @9gags internet memes relevant to be used as a form of criticism to teachers and students? This study applied five theories to answer these subproblems, namely 1) the context of discourse (Cutting, 2008) to obtain knowledge both inside and outside the discourse; 2) transitivity system (Halliday & Matthiessen, 2014) to analyze verbal modes; 3) representation component (Kress & Van Leeuwen, 2006) to analyze visual modes; 4) intersemiotic logical relations (Liu & OHalloran, 2009) to analyze the logical relations between verbal and visual modes; and 5) relevance (Sperber & Wilson, 1995) to analyze the relevance that humor in these internet memes is relevant to be used as criticism to teachers and students. The results of this study revealed verbal and visual processes that represented interaction between teacher and student, the logical relations between caption and image, the topics of events, and problems that arised in students and teachers as a message of criticism behind humor."

Apple merupakan salah satu merek yang dapat mempertahankan penjualan iPhone dengan price premium yang dimilikinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh brand image Apple terhadap willingness to pay a price premium produk iPhone pada pembeli iPhone di wilayah DKI Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan di DKI Jakarta dengan objek penelitian yaitu produk iPhone dari brand Apple. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan survei sebagai instrumen utama. Survei ditujukan kepada masyarakat Daerah Khusus Ibukota (DKI) Jakarta yang sudah pernah membeli produk iPhone. Hasil survei penelitian ini diolah menggunakan instrumen SPSS 23.0 melalui analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa brand image Apple memiliki pengaruh terhadap willingness to pay a price premium produk iPhone pada pembeli iPhone di Wilayah DKI Jakarta sebesar 81,2%.


Apple is one of the brands that can maintain iPhone sales at its premium price. This study aims to analyze the effect of Apple's brand image on willingness to pay a price premium for iPhone products on iPhone buyers in the DKI Jakarta area. This research was conducted in DKI Jakarta with iPhone as the object of this research. The approach used in this study is quantitative with surveys as the main instrument. The survey is aimed at people of the Special Capital Region (DKI) Jakarta who have bought iPhone products. The survey results of this study were processed using the SPSS 23.0 instrument through descriptive statistical analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that Apple's brand image influences the willingness to pay a price premium for iPhone products to iPhone buyers in DKI Jakarta by 81.2%.
