"Chinese time adverbs describe status of behavior, modal frequency, or that the behavior has occurred, occurred in the past, present or future. When describe a time, it usually emphasizes the meaning. Indonesian time adverbs describe an event or action occurred at a time. It indicates the status of behavior, or indicates whether the conduct has occurred, has not happened, will happen, repeat and describe the act or thing is not yet completed. This study attempts to shed light on why students incline to make mistake in using Chinese time adverbs. Furthermore, students face difficulty in differentiating between Chinese and Indonesia time adverbs. Chinese Indonesia have the similar meaning of time adverb, such as: gang, yijing, cengjing, zhenzai, jiang, hai, mashang, but function in a sentence not exactly same."

At the second period, Chi Li's female characters were changed into awaken ones who sought a new way of life. They could survive and make life by themselves, but the traditional concepts still influenced their thoughts. They still believed that devotion to men was the life idealism. Meanwhile, strong personality, strong self-determination consciousness, independence were female characters found in Chi Li's last period works."

"ABSTRACT
The studies of language variation in social context show that women speak differently than men. Many 5ociolingnistic findings since Jespersen (1922) and Lakoff (1975) up to the most recent findings in the late 20`h century (e.g. Bergvall et.al., 1996; Cheshire et.al., 1998; Coates, 1998), have shown the close relationship of women and politeness. The first studies of women's language and politeness were mostly carried out in the English language. These findings have then triggered parallel studies in non-English languages. Interestingly, many studies that have been conducted in Asian languages such as in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Javanese and Indonesian, reveal that their studies do not always agree with the findings Found in the English languages studies ''(e.g. Matsumoto, 1988; Errington, 1988; Smith-Hefner, 1988; Gu, 1990; Mao, 1994; Chang, 1999). This evidence has postulated the need of conducting many other studies in politeness and its relation to women's linguistic behavior in other languages and other cultures. Researchers have also believed that situational and cultural variables have indeed played important roles in determining what is considered polite behavior in one's particular speech act. This belief has encouraged me to conduct my research on women's politeness behavior in my own language. My being a Chinese descent born in Java, Indonesia, has inspired me to do my research in the politeness behavior of Chinese Indonesians who live in Java. This"

Overall, the results of the study showed significantly higher meanvalues on different tense same actors DTSA images in English groups than Indonesian groups. The average value of the same tense different actor STDA English group was not significantly lower in the Indonesian language group. In this research there is no significant interaction effect between language groups with event perception.

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between perceived discrimination to
dual identity moderated by perceived threat on Chinese-Indonesian Scholar. Participant
of this studies are Chinese-Indonesian Scholar who study on bachelor’s degree (N = 183).
The statistical technique which been used are correlation, multi regression, and Hayes
Process. The result of analysis show that perceived threat significantly moderates the
relations between perceived discrimination and dual identity (F(4,178) = 3.0776, p < .05),
with R2 = 0.0647). Higher perceived discrimination and perceived threat score lead to
lower dual identity score and vice versa.
