"This article tried to give input about the latesr development in the world of journalism and the mass media industry to the academic world in the field of communication knowledge especially journalism. There were to aspects that must be paid attention to, that related to hardware (the information and communication technology product) and was related to the shift in the structure and the mecanism in the media's industry personally. Based on the analysize of the two aspect, the implication for communications science in related with the media industry needs: that in the preparing of the scientific basic for the communicology scholars, the scientist have to oppress the element of “the hight adaptation power” and “the strong competition power” ownership."

"Skripsi ini membahas penelitian mengenai pelanggaran Hak atas Privasi pada kasus pelanggaran privasi artis terkenal pada media elektronik melalui siaran televisi. Pemberitaan media televisi mengenai kasus tersebut telah melanggar hak atas privasi yang merupakan salah satu hak asasi manusia para artis yang telah dijamin Konstitusi dan Undang-Undang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian normatif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menyarankan perubahan Undang-Undang Nomor 40 Tahun 1999 Tentang Pers dan Undang-Undang Nomor 32 Tahun 2002 tentang Penyiaran, serta memperbaharui Pedoman Perilaku Penyiaran dan Standar Program Siaran agar mengatur secara detail mengenai perlindungan terhadap privasi khususnya pada media televisi.

This mini-thesis discusses the research on the violation of Right to Privacy in regards to the case of private data disclosure of Ariel famous celebritites on electronic media through television broadcast. Such television media broadcast of this case was in violation with the right to privacy which is one of the celebrities human rights guaranteed by the Constitution and laws. This research is a normative research with qualitative approaches.

The result of this research suggests the amendment of the Law No. 40 of the year 1999 on Press and Law No. 32 of the year 2002 on Broadcast, and also suggest to renew the Guidelines of Broadcast Behavior and Broadcast Standard Program so that it will provide detailed regulation on the protection of privacy, especially on television media."
