mempengaruhi semua usia, terutama anak-anak.
(p=0,001).ABSTRACT Dental anxiety is a common problem that affects all ages, especially children. Modelling modifications by using positive images is one of behavior management techniques to overcome anxiety. Salivary alpha-amylase (SAA) is one of the components in the saliva which can be an indicator of acute stress, namely anxiety. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of positive images ?Visit to the Dentist? towards anxiety that measured from the SAA levels. Saliva samples collected from 24 children before and after positive images ?Visit to the Dentist? intervention. SAA levels of all subjects were measured using starchiodine method. The result showed that SAA levels differ significantly before and after positive images ?Visit to the Dentist? intervention on 7 years-old-child anxiety. "Imaging in pediatric pulmonology is a definitive reference to imaging and differential diagnosis for pediatric pulmonology. Diseases and disorders seen in everyday clinical practice are featured, including infections, developmental disorders, airway abnormalities, diffuse lung diseases, focal lung diseases, and lung tumors. Organized to support the clinical thought process, the text begins with a series of clinical algorithms that provide a starting point for formulating a diagnosis. The physician will be able to identify the differentials by symptom complex and accordingly determine what test would be effective and how to proceed. The balance of the book is image-based and presents a comprehensive, multi-modality approach, with an emphasis on plain film and cross-sectional imaging. The imaging sections are correlated with pathology and clinical findings to help readers learn what the modality of choice can enable them to see.

Background: Anxiety often accompanied children during preoperative. This is a condition and complication often overlooked by anesthesiologists in routine practices. Aim: To asses sedation and anti anxiety effect of midazolam and ketamine as premedication given orally in order to facilitate separation from the parents. Method: Ninety six pediatric patients, in a randomized, double blind manner divided in two groups equally, received orally midazolam 0.25mg/kg or ketamine 5 mg/kg.
Result: Children who received midazolam were sedated 81%, while children with ketamine only 32% (CI: 4.32;0.66). As for antianxiety effect, patients who received midazolam were effective 89%, those who received ketamine only 54% (p<0.05) with CI (0.18:0.52). Hypersalivation was found in 25% patients with premedication oral ketamine (p<0.05)
Conclusion: Oral midazolam 0.25mglkg gives better sedation and antianxiety effect compared to oral ketamine 5 mg/kg.

"Images in urology is a unique book that integrates images of urological conditions within their clinical context. Improvements in imaging techniques have meant greater diagnostic power and a dramatic rise in the number and quality of images obtained and viewed by practicing clinicians. None more so than in the field of urology, where static and dynamic images are fundamental to the diagnosis and treatment of almost all conditions. This book presents images of radiological and radionucleotide scans, macroscopic and microscopic histopathology specimens, urodynamic traces and photographs of dermatological conditions relating to urology. Each section has a series of questions, often relating to a clinical scenario, about the images. A comprehensive answer provides a description of each image and of the condition shown. Details of how to interpret the image and the use of contrast or staining methods to help differentiate normal anatomy from pathology are included. Images in Urology is an essential tool for urology, radiology and histopathology trainees and consultants, as well as being an excellent exam preparation guide.

"This is a major revision, updating, and expansion of the leading single-source volume on pediatric sedation outside of the operating room. Edited and written by an international roster of outstanding experts, it is the only book aimed at the broad range of specialists who deliver pediatric sedation in the non-OR setting.
The second edition features a significant expansion of contributions from international leaders and individual new chapters on pre-sedation assessment, sedatives’ short- and long-term effects on neurocognition; non-pharmacologic districtions, Michael Jackson’s death and medical ethics, the role of simulation in safety and training; and palliative sedation in terminally ill children.
The specialty-specific chapters continue to be geared toward all sedation providers, regardless of where they practice and patient safety is again emphasized. Fundamental chapters provide in-depth reviews of topics which include, among others, physiology and pharmacology. "
