"Written with disarming honesty by a long-term sufferer of bipolar disorder, with more than half a century’s experience of intervention and treatment, this highly personal volume traces the effectiveness of a therapy modality for mental illness that has gained much ground in the past two decades : art. The author began to use art, and in particular doodling, from 1998 as a way of externalizing his feelings. Its expressiveness, accessibility and energy-efficiency was ideally suited to the catatonia he experienced during the bouts of depression that are a feature of bipolar disorder, while as the low moods lifted and his energy surged, he completed more ambitious and elaborate works. As well as being highly eclectic, Wheatley’s assembled oeuvre has afforded him both insights and therapeutic intervention into his condition, once deemed highly debilitating and taboo, but much more socially accepted now that well known sufferers such as Stephen Fry have recounted their experiences of the condition. After an opening account of how the images were generated, the volume reproduces a ‘gallery’ of selected work, and then offers an extended epilogue analyzing the art’s connections with the disorder as well as the author’s assessment of how each attempt at visual self-expression was, for him, a therapeutic intervention. Wheatley, a cell biologist who has enjoyed a full career in cancer research, has had no formal training in art, yet his haunting pictures, many of them resembling life forms, are brought to life by his perceptive, self-aware commentary. "

"Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat memberikan kemudahan akses ke informasi untuk semua orang dan mengaktifkan pengumpulan data secara pribadi oleh perusahaan dan pemerintah dalam database yang memiliki cakupan yang luas dan mendalam. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan masalah yang berkaitan dengan hak individu untuk menjaga kerahasiaan beberapa informasi, salah satu-satunya data pribadi individu dan menciptakan ancaman terhadap privasi individu dengan memberikan peluang besar bagi mereka yang memiliki akses ke informasi pribadi untuk menyalahgunakan data pribadi orang lain untuk kepentingan pribadinya. Indonesia belum memiliki undang-undang khusus yang mengatur perlindungan data pribadi dan peraturan yang melindungi data dan sanksi yang berlaku terhadap pelanggaran masih bersifat sektoral dan tersebar di lebih dari 30 undang-undang dan peraturan. Ancaman sanksi belum cukup kuat untuk pencegahan dan penindakan pelanggaran violations perlindungan data pribadi, masih ada beberapa celah yang dapat dimanfaatkan pihak yang ingin menyalahgunakan data pribadi untuk keuntungan mereka yang mengakibatkan pelanggaran terhadap perlindungan data pribadi masih beredar besar. Untuk mengatasinya, RUU Perlindungan Data Pribadi sedang disusun oleh pemerintah yang didalamnya terdapat berbagai jenis sanksi atas pelanggaran tentang perlindungan data pribadi, termasuk sanksi pidana. Penting untuk tagihan Perlindungan Data Pribadi harus diprioritaskan dalam merancang dan pengesahannya sebagai solusi dalam menjawab kebutuhan akan perlindungan data swasta di Indonesia.
Rapid technological developments provide easy access to information for everyone and enable data collection privately by companies and governments in a broad and in-depth database. This can cause problems related to the right of individuals to maintain the confidentiality of some information, one of which is the individual's personal data and create threats to individual privacy. by providing a great opportunity for those who have access to personal information to misuse other people's personal data for their personal interests. Indonesia does not yet have a specific law that regulates the protection of personal data and regulations that protect data and the sanctions that apply to violations are still sectoral in nature and spread across more than 30 laws and regulations. The threat of sanctions is not strong enough to prevent and take action against violations of personal data protection. To overcome this, the Personal Data Protection Bill is being drafted by the government which includes various types of sanctions for violations of personal data protection, including criminal sanctions. It is important for the Personal Data Protection bill to be prioritized in designing and ratifying it as a solution in responding to the need for private data protection in Indonesia."

Dalam bisnis perbankan, penggunaan bank digital terus meningkat seperti yang tercatat pada laba/rugi bersih bank digital di Indonesia pada semester I-2023 terlihat bahwa mayoritas emiten bank digital di Indonesia mengalami pertumbuhan yang positif. Layanan teknologi informasi dalam dunia fintech (financial technology) ini cukup baru sehingga studi terkait bank digital masih sangat terbatas terutama pembahasan terkait keberlanjutan penggunaannya. Oleh karena itu, penulis melakukan penelitian ini dengan harapan agar dapat menambah wawasan baru mengenai fintech post adoption. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed-method untuk memperoleh pemahaman mendalam terkait loyalitas yang merangkum keinginan untuk terus menggunakan dan penggunaan nyata bank digital. Data identifikasi variabel penelitian dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan 13 narasumber pengguna bank digital dan dianalisis menggunakan thematic analysis. Hasil analisis digunakan untuk membuat model survei yang diisi secara valid oleh 491 responden dan data diolah menggunakan covariance-based structural equation modelling (CB-SEM). Data konfirmasi dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan 11 narasumber yang diambil dari responden survei dan dianalisis dengan content analysis. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua perspektif utama yaitu user satisfaction dengan faktor-faktor eksternal (perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived security, convenience value, economic benefits, integration, perceived aesthetics) dan personal innovativeness. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) perceived aesthetics memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap perceived ease of use penggunaan bank digital, (2) perceived aesthetics dan perceived ease of use memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap perceived usefulness penggunaan bank digital, (3) perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived security, dan integration memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap satisfaction penggunaan bank digital, sedangkan convenience value, economic benefits, dan perceived aesthetics tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap satisfaction penggunaan bank digital, (4) satisfaction dan personal innovativeness memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap continuance intention penggunaan bank digital, dan (5) continuance intention memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap actual usage penggunaan bank digital. Untuk meningkatkan intensi keberlanjutan penggunaan, penyedia layanan bank digital harus fokus pada peningkatan kualitas layanan untuk meningkatkan kepuasan pengguna dan proaktif dalam mengadopsi teknologi serta fitur inovatif.

Financial technology currently influences many aspects that include opportunities and challenges for individuals, businesses, and financial institutions themselves. In the banking business, the use of digital banks continues to increase as recorded in the net profit/loss of digital banks in Indonesia in the first semester of 2023, where it appears that the majority of digital bank issuers in Indonesia experienced positive growth. Information technology services in this financial technology (fintech) world are relatively new, so studies related to digital banks are still very limited, especially discussions regarding the continuance of their use. Therefore, the authors conducted this research in the hope of gaining new insights regarding fintech post-adoption. This research uses a mixed-method approach to gain an in-depth understanding of loyalty, which encapsulates the continuance intention to use and actual use of digital banks. Research variable identification data was collected through interviews with 13 digital bank user respondents and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of the analysis were used to create a survey model that was validly filled out by 491 respondents, and the data was processed using covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB-SEM). Confirmation data was collected through interviews with 11 respondents taken from the survey respondents and analyzed using content analysis. This research uses two main perspectives, namely user satisfaction with external factors (perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived security, convenience value, economic benefits, integration, perceived aesthetics) and personal innovativeness. The research results show that (1) perceived aesthetics have a significant influence on the perceived ease of use of digital bank usage, (2) perceived aesthetics and perceived ease of use have a significant influence on the perceived usefulness of digital bank usage, (3) perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived security, and integration have a significant influence on satisfaction with digital bank usage, while convenience value, economic benefits, and perceived aesthetics do not have a significant influence on satisfaction with digital bank usage, (4) satisfaction and personal innovativeness have a significant influence on continuance intention of digital bank usage, and (5) continuance intention has a significant influence on actual usage of digital banks. To increase the intention to continue using, digital bank service providers must focus on improving service quality to increase user satisfaction and be proactive in adopting innovative technology and features."

"Digital gaze merupakan suatu fenomena yang terbentuk dari intensifnya interaksi manusia dengan teknologi, khususnya interaksi manusia dengan Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Digitalisasi sebagai mata rantai dalam sistem ICT telah mendatafikasi lanskap komunikasi manusia menjadi pesan digital, sehingga proses interaksi dan pertukaran informasi dapat berlangsung secara telepresen. Fenomena digital gaze menjadi bukti bahwa manusia pada era komunikasi digital saat ini hidup dalam kejatuhan terhadap persepsi orang lain, sebab dia menatap diri sendiri sebagaimana orang lain dibalik layar menatap dirinya. Munculnya dialektika digital gaze ini membuat proses tatap-menatap di jagad digital menjadi semakin tajam, sehingga tatapan orang lain dibalik layar dianggap sedemikian rupa berarti, dan juga berpengaruhnya bagi kehidupan penggunanya. Hal ini akhirnya mempengaruhi bagaimana perilaku pengguna tersebut dalam mengungkap informasi personalnya di jagad digital. Salah satu mekanisme yang belakangan ini ramai diperbincangkan oleh masyarakat digital, dan berkaitan erat dengan digital gaze itu sendiri adalah konstruksi identitas melalui konsep yang disebut dengan personal branding. Melalui personal branding, manusia pada era komunikasi digital menciptakan konstruksi diri yang berkaitan dengan digital gaze orang lain, sehingga alih-alih memuat realitas personal, personal branding belakangan ini justru menjadi tidak jauh berbeda dengan sabotase citra yang terdiri dari beragam kecohan dan justru mengacaukan persepsi manusia.

Digital gaze is a phenomenon formed from intensive human interaction with technology, especially human interaction with Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Digitalization as a link in the ICT system has registered the landscape of human communication into digital messages, so that the process of interaction and exchange of information can take place telepresence. The phenomenon of digital gaze is proof that humans in the era of digital communication are currently living in a fall from the perceptions of others, because they look at themselves as other people behind the screen look at themselves. The emergence of this digital gaze dialectic makes the process of staring at the digital world even sharper, so that the gazes of other people behind the screen are considered meaningful, and also have an effect on the lives of users, this ultimately affects how users behave in disclosing personal information in the digital world. One of the mechanisms that has recently been widely discussed by the digital community and is closely related to the digital gaze itself is the construction of identity through a concept called personal branding. Through personal branding, humans in the digital communication era create self-constructions that are closely related to other people's digital gaze, so that instead of loading personal realities, recent personal branding has become not much different from image sabotage which consists of various deceptions. and it messes with human perception."
