"It may seem a strange place to start, but a good beginning here is the Boston Marathon bombings in April, 2013 and the days that followed. In particular, the Friday when officials shut down the city of Boston and neighboring communities. Businesses all over the city were forced to shut down while the manhunt took place over the course of the day on Friday. While retail establishments were really out of luck because no one on the streets meant no one in the stores, other businesses were able to continue to operate because of a number of technologies that allowed remote workers to get access to their files, the systems they needed and their phone systems. Any business that implemented a full Unified Communications (UC) solution could have employees also communicating with instant messaging and know who was on-line because of the presence capabilities. "ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pengguna internet dan media social berada dalam segmen bonus demografi dan rawan terpapar oleh bahaya Narkotika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis karakteristik komunikasi media social dalam proses penurunan prevalensi penyalahgunaan Narkotika dan untuk mengetahui skenario kebijakan komunikasi pada media ocial dalam penanggulangan penyalahgunaan Narkotika untuk menunjang ketahanan nasional. Penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualittatif dengan metode analitik AHP guna menentukan prioritas mana yang tepat dalam skenario kebijakan komunikasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis AHP, prioritas skenario akibat dari komunikasi media ocial adalah jumlah pengguna Narkotika menurun. Kriteria efek yang yang menjadi prioritas dalam mencapai prestasi komunikasi media social adalah efek moderat. Prioritas kriteria dalam hal strategi ukuran keberhasilan adalah agenda setting, sedangkan kebijakan pilihan adalah kebijakan MAN yaitu dalam hal pengembangan SDM penyebar komunikasi. Komunikasi dengan menggunakan media sosial terutama dalam hal penyebaran informasi mengenai bahaya penyalahgunaan Narkotika dimungkinkan dapat menurunkan prevalensi penyalahgunaan Narkotika dan penyebaran informasi dengan menggunaan media sosial dapat menjadi metode khusus untuk menurunkan prevalensi pengguna Narkotika.

ABSTRACT
This research discusses the internet and social media users segmented into demographic bonus and they are vulnerable to be exposed to the hazards of Illegal Drugs. This research aims to analyze the characteristic of social media communications in the process of decreasing the prevalence of Illegal Drugs abuse and to acknowledge the scenario of communications policy towards social media for the prevention of Illegal Drugs abuse to support the national resilience. This research is a qualitative research applying a method the so called Analytic Hierarchy Process AHP for determining which precise priority in the scenario of communications policy. Based on such AHP result, scenario priority on account of the social media communications is the decreasing of amount of Illegal Drugs users. The criteria effect as a priority to reach an achievement in the social media communications is a moderate effect. Criteria priority concerning the strategy of successful measurement is a setting agenda, meanwhile the choice policy is MAN policy regarding the Human Resource development as the communications spreader. Communications by using the social media specifically for the information dissemination concerning the dangerous of the Illegal Drugs abuse which such manner is assumed can decrease the prevalence of Illegal Drugs abuse but until the present time an accurate data is not available and no research discussed it. Information dissemination by using the social media can be a specific method for decreasing the prevalence of Illegal Drugs user. "

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan social media serta bentuk integrasi social media yang tepat bagi brand dengan proses pengambilan keputusan konsumen melalui high maupun low involvement dalam komunikasi pemasaran brand. Dari hasil studi komparasi ditemukan perbedaan dalam pemanfaatan social media dan bentuk integrasi social media antara high dengan low involvement decision brand. Perbedaan dapat dilihat dari proporsi penggunaan media digital, akun social media tools yang dikelola brand, konten tiap akun social media, kerjasama dengan buzzer, dan hubungan antar social media tools. Selain itu, ditemukan juga bahwa brand yang sukses melakukan komunikasi pemasaran melalui social media adalah brand yang mengelola komunitas online dengan baik.

This research conducted to understand social media utilisation and the forms of the right social media integration for high and low involvement decision brand in the brand marketing communication. Comparative studies found there was a difference between them, seen from the digital media use proportion, social media account tools managed by brand, contains of each social media account, partnership with buzzer, and social media tools inter-elationship. Beside that, it is discovered that a successful brand, which carried out marketing communication through social media, is a brand whose online community is well-managed."

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan memeroleh pengetahuan kolaborasi yang
dilakukan Harian Kompas bersama sejumlah komunitas. Permasalahan dalam
penelitian ini adalah sebagian kolaborasi tidak berlangsung sebagaimana diharapkan
secara ideal. Kerangka pemikiran disusun berdasarkan fakta turbulensi dalam industri
suratkabar, dan nyaris seluruh model bisnis saat memasuki era masyarakat informasi.
Perusahaan atau organisasi perlu melakukan penataan ulang dengan menggunakan
sejumlah konsep, diantaranya seperti ?The Learning Organization? yang
dikemukakan Peter Senge. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah, pengadopsian
?five disciplines? dalam ?The Learning Organization? dan sejumlah indikator
kolaborasi ideal dalam masyarakat informasi menemui keberhasilan dalam praktik
kolaborasi yang menuju pada aspek co-creation menyusul interaksi komunikasi
horizontal, non-formal, dan setara yang dipergunakan

ABSTRACT
This research aims to acquire knowledge of collaboration conducted by Harian
Kompas with a number of communities. The issue in this research is some of
collaboration did not occurring as expected ideally. The framework compiled based
on the facts of turbulence in the newspaper industry, and almost in the entire business
models when entering the era of information society. Company or organization needs
to do rearrangement by using a number of concepts, such as "The Learning
Organization" stated Peter Senge. The findings in this research are the adoption of
"five disciplines" in "The Learning Organization" and the indicators of an ideal
collaboration in information society attain success of its implementation that led to
the aspects of co-creation following the horizontal communication interactions, nonformal,
and used similar."

"Summary: Although there are human geographers who have previously written on matters of media and communication, and those in media and communication studies who have previously written on geographical issues, this is the first book-length dialogue in which experienced theorists and researchers from these different fields address each other directly and engage in conversation across traditional academic boundaries. The result is a compelling discussion, with the authors setting out statements of their positions before responding to the arguments made by others. One significant aspect of this discussion is a spirited debate about the sort of interdisciplinary area that might emerge as a focus for future work. "Tesis ini membahas mengenai implementasi pemanfaatan media sosial pada UMKM yang bergerak di bidang jasa bengkel yaitu Trijaya Ban 83. Pemetaan kondisi UMKM memperlihatkan bahwa tidak adanya aktivitas pemasaran yang dilakukan terutama di dunia digital pada bengkel Trijaya Ban 83, terutama belum adanya kegiatan komunikasi pemasaran serta penentuan fungsi setiap media sosial yang dimiliki. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari business coaching ini adalah untuk membantu UMKM memaksimalkan peran media sosial dalam melakukan kegiatan pemasaran di dunia digital. Diharapkan bahwa Trijaya Ban 83 dapat menjangkau konsumen dengan lebih luas, serta mampu beradaptasi dengan perkembangan teknologi. Metode yang digunakan dalam business coaching ini adalah metode kuantitatif untuk mengumpulkan data yang dibutuhkan, kemudian dilakukan eksperimen dalam pelaksanaan strategi yang telah dibuat. Kesimpulan dari business coaching ini adalah perbaikan pada media sosial telah mengoptimalkan efektifitas dari komunikasi pemasaran melalui media sosial dalam membantu kegiatan promosi pada Trijaya Ban 83.

.....This thesis discusses about the implementation of social media utilization at UMKM which operates in workshop service that is Trijaya Ban 83. Mapping of SME condition shows that the absence of marketing activity done especially in digital world at SME Trijaya Ban 83, especially lack of marketing communication activity and determination function of every social media owned. Therefore, the purpose of business coaching is to help SME Trijaya Ban 83 maximize the role of social media in conducting marketing activities in the digital world. It is expected that Trijaya Ban 83 can reach consumers more widely, and be able to adapt to technological developments. The method used in business coaching is a quantitative method to collect the required data, then conducted experiments in the implementation of strategies that have been made. The conclusion of this business coaching is the improvement on social media has optimized the effectiveness of marketing communication through social media in assisting promotion activities at Trijaya Ban 83"
