"Dalam studi ini, efisiensi teknis dari industri garmen di DKI Jakarta diperkirakan dengan mengakomodasi terjadinyaefek ketidakefisienan teknis dalam suatu model stochastic frontier fungsi produksi. Tujuannya adalah untukmemperkirakan efisiensi teknis dari perusahaan sekaligus menjelaskan sumber-sumber penyebab ketidakefisienandalam konteks kebijakan ekonomi makro di Indonesia. Hasil empiris menampilkan beberapa gambaran yang menarikdari kinerja ekonomi perusahaan garmen dalam kaitan dengan karakteristik spesifik yang diperkirakanmempengaruhinya. Dalam penelitian ini terbukti fungsi produksi Cobb-Douglas tidak representatif dalam menjelaskankasus efisiensi teknis di DKI Jakarta, tetapi sumber-sumber ketidakefisienan dan adanya perubahan teknis dapatdibuktikan.In this paper, the technical efficiency of garment firms in DKI Jakarta is estimated by incorporating a model for thetechnical inefficiency effects in the stochastic frontier production function. The aims are to estimate both the technicalefficiency of the firms and the sources of technical inefficiency within the context of Indonesia?s macro-economicpolicy. The empirical results point a number of noteworthy features of the economic performance of firms in relationwith some specific characteristics. It is found in the study that the Cobb douglas functional form was not adequate, butthe sources of technical inefficiency were found and technical change was present."

"Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi technical ineffieciency dari perusahaan-perusahaan di Indonesia, dengan mengaplikasikan fungsi produksi Cobb-Douglas terhadap unbalanced panel dari 141 perusahaan BUMN maupun swasta dalam waktu 10 tahun. Estimasi dilakukan secara terpisah pada kedua jenis perusahaan tersebut untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara variabel-variabel spesifik perusahaan seperti: size, age dan leverage terhadap kinerja efisiensi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa jumlah karyawan (size), usia dan tingkat leverage mempunyai efek yang negatif terhadap perusahaan BUMN. Sebaliknya, pada perusahaan swasta, umur perusahaan (age) dan leverage mempunyai pengaruh positif sedangkan size perusahaan mempunyai pengaruh yang negatif terhadap kinerja efisiensi."

"Penelitian kinerja efisiensi perbankan ini menggunakan 28 perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia untuk data periode 2006 sampai 2007. Kredit yang diberikan adalah sebagai variabel output, sedangkan total dana pihak ketiga (DPK), jumlah karyawan serta total modal adalah sebagai variabel inputnya. Penggunaan Stochastic Frontier Analysis diharapkan dapat memberikan estimasi pengukuran efisiensi yang lebih baik, karena tidak menggunakan salah satu perusahaan sebagai benchmark. Pengolahan data dan analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan software Frontier 4.1. Beberapa kesimpulan yang dapat ditarik dari penelitian ini adalah bank publik yang memiliki tingkat efisiensi tertinggi untuk periode 2007 adalah Bank Niaga dan Bank Rakyat Indonesia menempatkan posisi terefisien untuk periode 2006. Bank dengan kategori BUMN memiliki tingkat mean (rata-rata) yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kategori Non BUMN.

These research on efficiency performance have been conducted on 28 banks listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period of 2006 ? 2007. Loan Granted by Banks as the output variable and third party fund, numbers of employees and total capital as the input variables. In addition, these research also examines the efficiency performance based on the Government Banks and Non Government Banks and to its individual banks. The measurement, which using Stochastic Frontier Analysis is expected to be more adequate than other method, due to benchmarking is not relevan on this method. From this studies, we can conclude that overall Bank Niaga is the most efficient bank in 2007 while Bank Rakya Indonesia is the most efficient bank in 2006. Seems that the government-banks has higher mean efficiency compare to Non government-banks."

"ABSTRACTUsing data for 341 enterprises listed on the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and taking R and D expenditure as an indicator of innovation investment, this paper implements multiple linear regression to test whether venture capital promotes corporate innovation input. It also considers the relationship between the syndicated investment of venture capital and innovation input. The results show that venture capital indeed promotes R and D in the invested enterprises. The innovation input of syndicated investment enterprises is significantly higher than that of sole investment enterprises. Under syndicated investment, the higher the number of syndicated investment members and the greater the heterogeneity of the shareholding ratio among the members, the higher is the innovation input. The reputation of the syndicated investment team, however, has no significant impact on innovation input."
