"Nanotechnology is a new and emerging discipline that is multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary. The usage of nanosystems, nanomaterials, nano-devices, etc. permeates all aspects of society. Cancer targeting and curing nanosystems are being introduced into the biomedical and pharmaceutical industries; so are lightweight energy absorbing or blast-proof nanohybrid material in the aerospace, automotive and marine industries and high-efficiency energy harvesting nanomaterials, etc. Society has a vested interest in knowing how these new materials, devices and systems are changing the economy and similar landscapes. The book outlines the regulatory and environmental issues related to nanotechnology per industry, offers guidelines in assessing the risks and discusses the legal and socioeconomical issues involved. Case studies will be utilized to provide examples of the positive and negative impacts of nanotechnology.

"his book provides a solution to “rare event” problems without using the classical theory of reliability and theory of probability. This solution is based on the methodology of risk assessment as “measure of danger” (in keeping with the ICS RAS) and an expert approach to determining systems’ safety indications using Fuzzy Sets methods. Further, the book puts forward a new concept: “Reliability, Risks, and Safety” (RRS).
The book’s main goal is to generalize present results and underscore the need to develop an alternative approach to safety level assessment and risk management for technical (aviation) systems in terms of Fuzzy Sets objects, in addition to traditional probabilistic safety analysis (PSA). The concept it proposes incorporates ICAO recommendations regarding proactive system control and the system’s responses to various internal and external disturbances. "

ABSTRACT
This research discussed about the application of Management System Occupational Health and Safety in RST Dompet Dhuafa Hospital with assessment criteria from Indonesian Government Regulation No. 50 of 2012. Hospital as one of the health care facilities that have the highest potential for accidents and occupational diseases are required to do the assessment of implementation Management System of Occupational Health and Safety to minimize the risk of health hazards and the assessment of the achievements for management system of occupational health and safety in that hospital itself . Therefore, these analysis deemed necessary to determine the application of the system from policy, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, to review and improvement of Occupational Health and Safety at Rumah Sehat Terpadu Dompet Dhuafa Hospital. The research method that used by the authors of this research is qualitative descriptive with Cross-sectional design study. Collecting data in this study conducted with a observation, document review, and in-depth interviews. And for the analysis data, the authors using 12 elements with 166 criteria in Appendix II of Indonesian Govermant Regulation No. 50 of 2012. The final results of this research, that the implementation of the management system occupational health and safety in RST Dompet Dhuafa Hospital is good with a percentage of 77.6 %. 125 criteria have been implemented, 36 criteria are still in the process or have not been implemented, and the other criteria (5 criteria) are considered irrelevant to the RST Dompet Dhuafa Hospital."
