"Skripsi ini berjudul Politik dan Buku di Indonesia pada Masa Orde Baru 1971-1989: Pelarangan Terhadap Tetralogi Pramoedya Ananta Toer, skripsi ini membahas permasalahan dalam munculnya pelarangan buku di Indonesia, melihat faktor-faktor munculnya kebijakan pelarangan buku yang memengaruhi dunia perbukuan di Indonesia, serta tindakan pelarangan buku yang tidak sesuai dengan ideologi pemerintah melalui peraturan dan kebijakan yang berlaku. Salah satu tindakan pelarangan buku yang beredar di tengah masyarakat adalah buku tetralogi karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Metode Peneltian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan metode sejarah yakni heuristik, kritik sumber sehingga didapatkan fakta sejarah dalam mengonstruksi penelitian ini. Kemudian tahap yang ketiga adalah tahap interpretasi data, tahap yang terakhir adalah historiografi. Sumber yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah arsip, surat kabar, majalah sezaman, jurnal ilmiah, dan buku-buku yang mendukung dalam penelitian ini. Pelarangan buku sudah ada sejak masa kolonial Belanda hingga masa pemerintahan Orde Baru. Pada masa pemerintahan Orde Baru, pelarangan buku terlihat sangat mencolok yakni bersifat represif, pelarangan juga terjadi pada karya-karya kreatif lainnya pada masa itu. Dari pelarangan buku ini, terlihat bahwa pelarangan buku merupakan bentuk kecemasan pemerintah, kecemasan pemerintah tersebut mewarnai sejak masa kolonial hingga masa Orde Baru. Sesungguhnya setiap gagasan yang tertuang, tidak perlu dicemaskan oleh pemerintah, nyatanya hal ini semakin ditegaskan oleh pemerintah sebagai salah satu bentuk hegemoni kekuasaan dengan menyatakan untuk menjaga stabilitas keamanan negara. Kecemasan tersebut tergambar sebagai langkah yang politis dari pemerintah.

This thesis Politics and Books in Indonesia in the New Order Period 1971 1989 The Prohibition against Tetralogy Pramoedya Ananta Toer, discusses the problems of the emergence of book bans in Indonesia, looking at the factors of the policy of book banning that affect the world of book keeping. The book banning act by New Order conducted against the prohibition of books that are inconsistent with the ideology of government through re enacted policies. One of the act of banning books circulating in the community is a book tetralogy of Pramoedya Ananta Toer.

The method of research used in this research is to use historical method of heuristic, source critic to get historical fact in construct this research. Then the third stage is the data interpretation stage, the last stage is historiography. The sources used in this study are archives, newspapers, contemporary magazines, scientific journals, and supporting books in this study. Book banning has existed since the Dutch colonial period until the reign of the New Order. During the New Order period, the banning of the book was so striking that it was repressive, the ban also occurred in other creative works of the time.

From the prohibition of this book, it appears that the banning of books is a form of government anxiety, the government's anxiety colored since the colonial period until the New Order era. Indeed every idea that is stated, no need to worry about by the government, in fact this is increasingly affirmed by the government as one form of hegemony of power by declaring to maintain the stability of state security. The anxiety is reflected as a political step from the government."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan realitas sejarah sosial-politik Indonesia dalam novel Larasati karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer dengan perspektif New Historicism. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif interpretif dengan paralel pembacaan antara karya sastra dengan teks sejarah dan desain analisis isi. Gambaran realitas sejarah sosial dan politik Indonesia (periode 1945 hingga 1966) dalam novel Larasati dengan perspektif New Historicism Greenblatt dianggap efektif untuk mengeksplorasi fenomena teks sastra. Novel ini secara langsung berkaitan dengan manifestasi politik Indonesia yang meliputi (1) struktur ideologi yang digunakan untuk memperkuat kekuatan berbasis negara, dan (2) praktik diskursif, bahasa politik yang mengacu pada konstruksi pengetahuan melalui bahasa yang memberi makna pada segi material dan praktik sosial-politik yang melingkupinya."

"Pramoedya Ananta Toer rewrote the tragic story of Ki Ageng Mangir into aply in 1976 while he was imprisoned in Buru Island and finally saw its publication, entitled Mangir, in 2000. This work owes its importance to pramudya's ability to use the framework of the story to expose the similarities between the Mataram era and the new order era,particularly their manipulations of power. In the traditional story, the tragig hero, Ki Ageng Mangir, is betrayed by his wife and killed by his father-in-law Panembahan Senopati, but Pramoedya reconstructured these myths in a series of "corrections" that move the story closer into history. These"corrections are deconstruction of traditional Javanese symbolisms . This paper explains and explores the historical paradigm that Pramoedya Ananta Toer employs in his rewriting of the story."

"Feminism refers to the social ideological trends that women ask for equal rights as well as the results of ideology when women know the world, the ego, and the sexual relationship in their process of seeking self liberation This starts with describing the in which Indonesian women acknowledged and was associated with western feminism periods as well as analyzing its period of development This paper aims at researching the feminism ideology of Pramoedya Ananta Toer, a leading Indonesian writer including the factors which affect his opinion on women and the expression of his feminism, which is richly displayed throughout his works. The finding of research shows that in Pramoedya Ananta Toer's perspective, equality between men and omen is manifested in the partnership between men and women that this partnership is applied in every aspect of lives, which is advanced-throught in Indonesian patriarchal society."

"Sejarah dan karya sastra memperlihatkan hubungan yang erat. Tidak jarang dalam karya sebuah karya sastra ditemukan peristiwa politik. Fakta menunjukkan bahwa dalam novel Jalan Raya Pos, Jalan Daendles terdapat lukisan tentang penindasan terhadap kaum pribumi. Dalam makalah ini akan dibahas bagaimana gambaran peristiwa politik berupa penindasan terhadap pribumi yang terjadi pada masanya, yang tergambar dalam novel Jalan Raya Pos, Jalan Daendles. Kemudian juga akan dibahas mengenai makna karya ini di mata masyarakat luas. Peristiwa politik berupa genosida yang terjadi di Indonesia menjadi sorotan dalam karya sastra ini. Melalui pendekatan New Historicism penulis berkesimpulan bahwa peristiwa politik yang digambarkan dalam novel Jalan Raya Pos, Jalan Daendles ini terjadi karena mental bangsa Indonesia yang memberi peluang untuk terjadinya sebuah penindasan besar-besaran.

History and literature shows a close relationship. Not uncommon in works of literature found a political event. This paper will discuss how the image of the event in the form of oppression against indigenous politik happened in his time, which is reflected in the novel Post Road, Jalan Daendles.
