"Along with recent rapid development of science, technology, art and culture, through research institutions from the central to the local level, the government seriously activates enhancement and protection of the intellectual products of the nation. Such as protection of intellectual property rights against irresponsible plagiarism. This is due to that the appearance, process, or invention steps of the creative furniture designer in the society or in the academic environment have the potential and the opportunity to be registered as Intellectual Properties (IP) or gain Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)- Besides aiming to lift up the state or institutions achievement and attainment of intellectual property rights internationally, the added value also can be developed in the direction of economic upgrade. Research on furniture products designs have been numerously carried out with various objects and cases, yet the diversity of the subject character and creative processes still have not well defined so they enrich the model of creative process design. This study aims to identify, classify and formulate a potential furniture design model of creative process and IPR standard, through methods PAR- The results of this study are (1) prototype of furniture design products, (2) the creative process model and the construction methods process of furniture design with a concept or a specific theme; (3) Registration of IPR; (4) Scientific manuscript."

"Bali adalah salah satu daerah di Indonesia yang masih menjunjung budaya adat dan budaya kesenian yang masih dikagumi oleh masyarakat dunia. Produk adat tradisional ke pura merupakan bagian dari perjuangan untuk menjaga kearifan lokal. Desain kosmologi adalah dimensi transendental yang memiliki eksplorasi yang sangat kompleks. Gaya dalam desain merupakan cerminan dari perilaku dan sikap budaya manusia pada waktu tertentu, sejalan dengan dinamika kehidupan, seperti dinamika sosial, perkembangan budaya dan nilai. Desain bisa menjadi cerminan zaman di setiap periode. Gaya perancang bisa menjadi tren jika ia mampu memenuhi kebutuhan dan selera konsumen. Anadai mengatakan, desain akan dibuat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat atau orang yang akan melakukan kegiatan adat dan budaya, maka draf konsep harus dimulai dari siapa dan kapan akan digunakan disain, hal ini perlu dilakukan. Disajikan sebagai pertimbangan yang cukup matang oleh seorang desainer, Sehingga apa yang disain mereka dapat diterima oleh pengguna desain."

"Visual Novel is a kind of audiovisual game that offers visual strength through the narrative and visual characters. The developer community of Visual Novel (VN) Project Indonesia indicated a limited local game developer that produces Visual Novel of Indonesia. In addition, Indonesian Visual Novel production was also more influenced by the style of anime or manga from Japan. Actually, Visual Novel is part of the potential of creative industries products. The study is to formulate the problem, how to understand Visual Novel as artwork of visual communication design, especially among students? This research is a case study conducted on visual communication design student at the University Indraprasta PGRI Jakarta. The results showed low levels of knowledge, understanding, and experience of the Visual Novel game, which is below 50%. Qualitative and quantitative methods combined with structural semiotic approach is used to describe the elements of the design and the signs structure at the Visual Novel. This research can be a scientific reference for further introduce and encourage an understanding of Visual Novel as artwork of Visual Communication Design. In addition, the results may add to the knowledge of society, and encourage the development of Visual Novel artwork that reflect the culture of Indonesia."

"Panggung Bangsawan is a popular folk theatre in Riau Lingga. The ups and downs in its performance are atributed to changes in social, political, and cultural conditions. This article is a reconstruction of a near extinct Panggung Bangsawan group in the Teluk village in the islands of Riau Lingga. First, I have attempted to describe the staging process; second, to endeavour to understand the phenomenon of change which occurs when a folk tale is transformed from written work into a performance; and third, to expose the transformation of a script (text) divided into scenes into a performance. This is an attempt to explain the relation between the audience?s response to a text when it is staged. This article is expected to give a more profound understanding on how the society supporting Panggung Bangsawan remember their past and their ideal views while comprehending how the shift in life values emerges in a staged folk tale."

"This research aims at the revealing of of kabbhanti kantola tradition rol e in character education that can be utilized integratedly in cultural art lesson (the local lesson) at high schools at Muna Regency. Kabbhanti kantola is a tradition that bas a function as a media of communication and consolation in Muna society with the song pattern of mutual traditional poetry (folksong) that bequeathed from generation to generation. The location of this research are three sub-districts at Muna Regency, namely Katobu sub-district, Watuputih sub-district, and Tongkuno sub-district. The data were collected through staging observation technique, recording technique, transcription, translation, and interpretation. The data then were analyzed qualitatively-interpretatively. The result of the research showithat the meaning and value that appear in the texts of kabbhanti kantola provides the varieties of precept, advice, and constructive criticism, guidance, and the building of society character who support them. Among of those values are to grow togetherness sense, precept about ethics in social intercourse, loyalty to the parents, the importance of economical ability before being married, and prohibition of gambling. Such criticism, precept, and message are aimed to create the harmony, and libration in the social life, and maintaining the morality values that Muna society trust. The character education that integrated in cultural art education in the local culture is very important to be applied at high schools at Muna Regency."

"Pada tahun 2015, Met Gala, penggalangan dana yang digelar oleh Institut Kostum Museum Seni Metropolitan, kembali digelar dengan mengusung tema China Through a Looking Glass. Pemilihan tema ini dilatarbelakangi dari dampak estetika dan budaya Cina terhadap inspirasi mode Barat. Atas tema tersebut, maka para tamu undangan yang hadir serta desainer diimbau untuk mengenakan atau membuat busana yang mengandung unsur budaya Cina. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan bagaimana budaya Cina direpresentasikan dalam gaun-gaun yang dikenakan oleh para tamu undangan di ajang Met Gala 2015. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif melalui studi pustaka dengan pendekatan ilmu budaya sebagai sumber primer, dan sumber lainnya sebagai sumber sekunder. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa beberapa gaun yang didesain oleh desainer Barat tidak sesuai dalam merepresentasikan budaya Cina ke dalam gaun buatannya sedangkan gaun karya desainer Cina lebih sesuai dalam merepresentasikan budaya Cina ke dalam gaun buatannya.

In 2015, the Met Gala, a fundraiser organized by the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, was held again with the theme China Through a Looking Glass. The choice of this theme was motivated by the impact of Chinese aesthetics and culture on Western fashion inspiration. Based on this theme, invited guests and designers are encouraged to wear or make clothes that contain elements of Chinese culture. This study aims to describe how Chinese culture is represented in the dresses worn by invited guests at the 2015 Met Gala. The research method used is a qualitative method through literature study with a cultural science approach as a primary source, and other sources as secondary sources. The results of this study found that some dresses designed by Western designers were not suitable for representing Chinese culture in their dresses, while dresses made by Chinese designers were more suitable for representing Chinese culture in their dresses."
